Sebenza vs hinderer

I've owned several of both. I prefer the XM 3.5". For my hand, it's a perfect fit. Personally, I prefer having the g-10 on one side. I also appreciate the different blade shapes and different accessories to help make it "yours". Quality is a toss up. Both provide superb tolerances and are exceptionally smooth. My XM has a great detent and flips very well. My only regret is going with the spanto rather than the slicer or something else that would slice a bit better.

2 XM-18's have passed through my hands, one 3" and one 3.5" and neither could flip without some serious concentration and technique.

Fit and finish while very good is not on the same level as a Sebenza, but the Hinderer is a more robust and ergonomic design.

For me the price of the Hinderers price is not justified in materials, action, or fit and finish.

The Sebenza is just on a different level, and if you are after perfection it should be your choice.

I have both and declaring one better than the other would be a hard choice. Fairly different knives.

Here is the age old question that everyone wants to be solved once and for all.... Rolls Royce Phantom vs Lamborghini Aventador.

Quickly...Aventador. I walk by a Lamborghini dealership, and it is the coolest thing I ever saw. Matte black one. Wow.

No need to decide which one, just which one first... Anything is affordable if you budget and wait long enough:D

A regrind solves the slicing issue:

Why settle for OR?
AND,...make it AND.

Haha! And then you'll find other makers, and it'll be AND, and AND, and AND, and AND,.....
YMMV.

2016 Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe' and a CRK large pj Sebenza 21. have one out of two, which ain't bad.

Same here. Haven't bothered with the Sebenza yet. Might have to do that.

CRK Sebenza large vs Hinderer XM-18.

Since all that CRKs and Hinderers do in an objective sense is cut stuff - just like any other knife - the "best" one is the knife that makes the consumer feel the best. That's the real reason that people buy these knives, though not everyone acknowledges it.

Well I've so far gotten 2 Large Sebenzas that I'll never part with, almost gotten an Unumzaan. I picked up a Strider SMF on the exchange, not sure about that one. If I ever get over my current obsession with Emersons I'll pick up a Hinderer.

I have a few sebenzas, hinder xm18 and strider sngs. I carry the sngs the most.

I dislike Ti/G10
Hinderer's are also terrible flippers
So I'd go for the Sabenza
....but the Sabenza is an exceptionally boring at $400
Which leads me to....
