Sebenzanista Roll Call

I have a Project II, a Mark VI, a new large Sebenza and a large old style with a retrofitted BG42 blade with a polished grind. The old style has different ergonomics from the new, but I like it just as much. It had a few small scratches on the scales, four aught steel wool did a great job of removing them and only making the blasted texture slightly smoother. With the continuous improvements at CRK, I expected the old style to be less precise than the new, but it's every bit as tight and precise as my brand new one.

Well, I have one Large Tanto that I just got back today from CRK, had the blade serrated,

I know, I know, "purists" hate serrations, but I like 'em (and is it just me, or did they put the serrations on the wrong side?)

And I'm hoping copfish will sell me his LDC-109 (if he still has it).....but I'm still not an addict (yet). C'ya

Just got a small left-handed Sebenza 2 weeks ago.
Have a large left-handed Sebenza that should be ready in February.
Will probably but a Project II and UMFAAN shortly.

One large non decorated sebenza. Great carry knife!! Works well with my spyderco military in the other pocket.

What? Another knife? Don't you have enough of those things already?
How many does one person need?
And just what are you going to do with this one that you can't do with the others?
What is the purpose of all these knives anyhow??

Well I've got the zulu trio (Large, Small, zigzag Umfaan) plus the one that got me started, an old school with ATS-34 blade steel and no clip. I have some CRK Post It Notes too, if that counts for anything.

If Chris would just make some different blade styles and grinds, I'd have a lot more. Not a Tanto person though. Oh well. Do we need to come up with a special handshake or something? If I'm a Sebenzanista do I need to start appearing in public with a ski mask and pipe?

Them:"What's that clipped to your pocket, a beeper?"
Me:"Uuh....yeah, something like that."

One large lefty, waiting to order a large lefty decorated so I can send the other in for ambi. and engraving. When I got my first Sebenza I sold all my MT's,Benchmades, Elishewitz, etc. It my only daily carry knife and it's used hard.

Kingknives, I think the serrations are where Chris puts them as his style.
Paul, I'll let someone else determine Sebenzanista standards.
Chris Reeve post it notes?

These short Sebenza stories of ownership are great, keep them coming!

Just got my 3rd large with double studs and my name on it. Also, an Umfaan and a mixture of 10 fixed blades from Chris. All great stuff. An investment in quality, not an expenditure.

I have one large plain left hand Sebenza with dual thumb studs. So when do I learn the secret hand shake?

One large plain Sebenza (daily carry), one large "fly", one small wood inlayed, and one Mountaineer II.

I have a Small Sebenza plain smooth edge and a Shadow III. Next year I'm getting a large Sebenza.

One Large Sebenza coming,
I am getting impatient because it was shipped at 11/29/1999,
(I live in Taiwan).

July 7, 99 Small Fly. Beautiful piece. Makes me think of my Grandfather who taught me how to fly fish.

I guess its time to "weigh in". I just got my first Sebenza (small) this past weekend. I've been hearing about them for over three years. First time I held one possession was clear--it was mine. Quite addictive! I'll be going for a large in the spring (maybe a "fly")
