Second Round

How can you tell which knives are being flipped through the forrest of knives being flipped over on the exchange?:confused:

In general say a knife was bought at the Co. Store or ganzaaa or some show in the past two months and is now for sale at cost + shipping + profit greater than say 5-10% .... I'd say that smells like a flipper. Especially if there are several of the same knife available.

I think I have been had..
I bought a ASH1 SE that had been flipped over %57:mad::mad:
Now I feel dirty and used:o

I've been lucky enough to acquire some nice knives through the BCS and recent Ganzaa (thanks Skunkers for the great service!). If I should sell/trade any of them in the near-term, it would be for my cost + shipping. I collect knives, etc. because I enjoy it, not for easy profit. Just my style and my choice. If folks want to buy to flip, they shouldn't be too sensitive when others call them out.

I'd say that can qualify and would say that someone is definitely a FLIPPER if they flip knives within a week of getting at any profit at all. They never intended to own them in the first place.

Tony, imagine how much money uyou could have made the other night? Tony had nearly 30 of the satin GW's in his basket the other night. And he slowly gave them back to the store for others to get a hold of. Many of you would have been SOL if hed not slowly gave them back preventing the FLIPPERS from hogging them all.

I certainly owe him, because that is how I got the ones I wanted. I also ended up getting about 5 extras plus a BATAC LE and I threw them all back as well. No FLIPPING here

don't hate the playa
hate the game

that said... I love the game...
tell the truth, have you ever been this excited and ran around this crazy to get a blade from any other manufacturer the way you do with Busse? Just like a fine woman, the chase is 1/2 the fun... scoring is the other 3/4, and the camaraderie makes up the remaining 1/3. whining should never make up more than 6% or 2 grams.

and lets not forget things change... in the months between ordering and receiving, sometimes luck and situations change and $$ is needed... medical, new babies, deployments, job turmoil...

I am just saying, its about love of blade... and nothing else...

Well said!

Well put! I wouldn't want it any other way!!

LOL I bought one Pumpkin Warden and made sure no one would want it in the first 1/2 hour by modding it, and sharpening the hell out of it.. No resales for me, I just wanted one of the best EDC's there is!

Boy, am I glad to see this thread! As somewhat of a new guy who started a year ago with a call to Busse just to see how to buy an AD, I generally just try to buy what I think I am going to like. If Tony is providing a "market moderation" service, bless him! I have been able to do several aftermarket deals with some really great hogs but have found getting a new knife to be awfully frustrating. Good to know I'm not alone. That said, love the blades and the people! Bill

The rumor that I had heard about the green linen/satin GW's were there were approximately under 30 of them. ...No, I'm not able to reveal my source, sorry!

That matches my intell ... which I always source multiply.

Took forever to get one.

That sounds reasonable to me.

The wife and I both hit the trough last night ... and we've probably got a few too many of these new Satins. If we do, I'll sell them to folks for precisely what I bought them for plus shipping cost ... or trade them for something of equal value. We don't 'go crazy,' but sometimes we do miscalculate. :(

One thing we won't do is grab a cartful. That's just cruel. I clearly remember what it was like to be a noob ... it wasn't that long ago. :o

I tell ya, I feel the love in this room. :D

Which one of my brothers is going to sell me a SFNO or ASH1 at cost? I thank you all for the offers in advance. I can hardly wait to feel it in my hands. I will post the pics as well for everybody to enjoy.:thumbup:
Don't be shy now. Let the PM's begin.

Sorry, boys.

I still don't have a Ruck (one day!).

And I've only got a few SFNOs and ASH1-s -- but, if I come across any extras, I'll let you know!! ;)

OP is not selling or tradng ANYTHING without talking to me first guys....I ordered some extras for Chrismas and for trading - he knows and my KIDS COME FIRST. Afterall Pooka does not care as you see in the picture. For some it is the race to win that makes Busse worth the extra trouble. I guarantee that we would not have spent all that time at Blade otherswise and I would have had more time with one of my best friends.

Some fish still in that pond...:D:D
