I bought a nib 560 cbcf on the fs forums for the online price yesterday that included shippping. He had 3 to sell.PP or MO. Not just PP, that seems to be the norm for most sales.

Really nice to have some honest guys for a change selling a limited production knife at the on line price. I've seen other ads asking the on line price too.

Where are the scalpers ? They'll be here soon. I saw 1 560cbcf that some idot was trying to sell for Only $800 on the fs forum.

Shhhhh.... they’re sleeping. Dont bug them, or they’ll get cranky and jack the price higher ;)

Saw one with a buy it now price that is the same price as the 0777 that was the topic of a thread earlier this week. Looks like I miss out on another LE. I refuse to pay that. I just needed a couple more weeks and I could have afforded the prices they were selling for earlier this week. Oh well. Maybe I can get lucky on payday.

Congrats on getting one by the way.

It is a little harder for them since it is 1000 pieces and not a couple hundred. I feel bad for the them I really do...

But all the 0777 haven't been released yet....the CBCF have all left the Factory this week..The Dealers are the ones marking it up this time..I've seen prices from $300-$425

Exactly my response to Steb also.

Daveb068, I contacted him. He's not sure if he is but if he does, they are all accounted for already.

Scalpers? Try honest to god dealers selling on eBay for $725. The same dealer who was selling 0888 spots for $899. Personally I don't think he should be allowd to get the limited ones anymore if he's going to rip people off. Let me know if you want the name.

Mr. Anderson (Mr. Smith voice) I see there are a few dealers doing that (over map/msrp on ebay). Wonder what Kai thinks of this. I know some brands who discourage price gouging by dealers. Im sure some smarty is gonna reply saying its a free market/free country. There, said it for you, save us from your life lessons.

Honestly, even if they think ill of it, I doubt they would be selective in the dealers they send limited editions to, they really can't control who sells their batch to what dealer/customer.

Interested to hear an opinion though

It's called the free market. They're not "Idiots" or "Dishonest." If the market can bare the mark-up, then so be it. Best thing to do is not buy at the inflated prices, and allow the market to self adjust.

Jhyde: Not to be selective but to encourage dealers to keep their pricing within map/msrp. My guess is those dealers on ebay are indeed secondary dealers like you alluded.

I have bought knives from eBay and then they are shipped from well known dealers. So I know for a fact that there are dealers out there who also sell on eBay.

Hard to understand those selling for $800 when others are listed in the $400's. Who are these people buying at the higher price?

Like ive said in other threads as much as I like the new stuff I refuse to pay more than what they were supposed to be released at so ill do without. Its not like I need every new offering out there I have hundreds more knives than I can use now lol.

I really appreciate the thought and it was a great attempt, and it almost worked :D
