As far as I'm concerned, there were many opportunities for people to buy this knife. I was actually surprised at the amount of opportunities that I had to buy a few if I was so inclined. If you missed out, it was pure bad luck, or just pure laziness, or not wanting it that much in the first place on your part. As far as sellers flipping it, I could care less. If someone is willing to pay the price, then good for both of them and its really none of any of our business really.
I really don't see any difference in someone flipping a knife for a small profit and a collector holding on to it for awhile until it really is a rare and popular item, then selling it for 2-3 times the amount. They are doing the same thing really. Just different time frames. In fact, the quick flippers are actually offering it for less than the long hold collectors will be. Imagine if everyone were like that. The opportunity to own one would shrink even more for ones who didn't get one. If a collector is complaining about a flipper, that person is being a hypocrite. If you have one, great, be concerned with the one(s) you have, let the other guy who has his, do with it what he/she wants. It's theirs...not yours. End of story. If you don't have one, go buy one. They are still out there.
