It depends. If there's teflon washers installed, you're GTG. I'm pretty sure they do that on joint replacements.

I'm sure they gave him brass liners. Usually there's a poll for the surgery for what kind of features you prefer.

Thank you very much for this info ^ ^ ^ ^. I realize the ordering thread comes later - my concern is there was an unofficial 'sign up' thread back in April gauging interest in this years knife. I did not sign up on that thread as I just recently decided to start collecting GEC knives. Do you know if I can still purchase this years BF knife even though I did not sign up ?

Also, approximate date / month the ordering thread will begin ? (Trying not to go crazy counting every minute of every day waiting for the thread to start) : )

Can't change the requirements now, that's really not fair. That being said, I do think that a basic membership should be the minimum to purchase, but you would need to enact it next year.

Let's imagine walking into a building that is the headquarters of a noble and ancient society.....a clubhouse if you will.
A library of dusty volumes lines the walls....the aroma of fine cigars ,whiskeys and bourbons pervail the atmosphere in an almost tangible fog......the miasma is cut only by the the gentle murmuring of voices ....some deep and serious....some light of heart with mirth....yet respectful.
Tables are strewn with pocket knives of all ages and nationalities....History itself lies in amongst them....The discussion at times may sound heated....but never unfriendly....
At the end of the bar there is a drunken Australian blissfully asleep(due to different time zones).....he dreams of meeting his fellow club members...one day....maybe it will happen....one day....for now.. it's merely a happy dream.....

Maybe, but then someone might end up sitting on a pile of knives having nobody to buy them. Because, as long as I know, GEC has a minimum number of SFO batch to order.
