You don’t think the same people showing up to sabotage it every single time has something to do with that? “Oh let’s go clutter up his threads and derail them and just pretend it happened naturally”.Every single thread you start and many of the ones you post in go down the gutter. And it is everyone else, not you?
Then stop posting here. I’ve asked you several times to stick to the topic yet you still want to make this sh*t personal. You bored yet?You are not worth my time. Keep going
I've seen many like you come and go![]()
Try walking 30 miles with a 3 pound knife slapping off your leg vs. a 10 ounce knife and then come talk to me about “efficient”.You take 35 chops with your smaller knife and I take 10 with the larger one. Which is more efficient?
How many “survival situations with a big knife” have you been in?For the people that think they don't need a big knife in a survival situation - until they are in one.
“No” what? You think you can’t do chops with a 4.5” knife? Have you even HELD a 4max or Spartan? And they aren’t even fixed. What ?
Nope .

I’m not going to agree with you that the larger knife is better.
Great, thanks for the contribution. Nobody ever walks anywhere in a survival situation. Got it.Nobody walks 30 miles: they get a shelter built, and make fire for smoke...
He can not be reasoned with, refuses to acknowledge the error in his logic and denies the reality of what larger knives are capable of in HIS scenerio. This is embarrassing and cringe as hell, it happens almost daily with him.For the people that think they don't need a big knife in a survival situation - until they are in one.
You seem to be forgetting that the medium sized knife will require more time and effort than the larger knife: with each task.
Take your own advice. A 16” knife that weighs 21oz is still more annoying to carry than a 4.5” knife that weighs half that. There are pros and cons. Just because a couple of you are team “big blade” doesn’t mean I have to agree with you. Why is this so difficult for you to understand? But the knife I chose with a 10” blade, 16” OAL, only weighs 21oz. Stop grossly overestimating things to “sound” like you know what you’re taking about.

You want to argue to the death about knife size. I merely said there are pros and cons to someone early on and it sent you into a damn spiral of arguing.
No, I just don’t care. I chose the option that best suits me. You don’t agree? Tough sh*t.
None of your business. I’m not getting into a survivalist pissing contest with you.
You assume much about people you don’t know. You shouldn’t.
2 or 3 of your buddies isn’t “rode by everyone”. Just because you got a little gaggle of people ganging up and sh*tposting doesn’t mean the entire forum is team Shiney Edges, so drop the 2nd grade playground routine.
Again with the “no one likes you and you’re going to get banned” bullsh*t. Debate the topic or get lost. Tired of your grade school bully routine.
There you go assuming everyone that doesn’t agree with you is stupid. He can not be reasoned with, refuses to acknowledge the error in his logic and denies the reality of what larger knives are capable of in HIS scenerio.
No, we just disagree on many things. Something you have a hard time dealing with. This is embarrassing and cringe as hell, it happens almost daily with him.
And this is on topic how?His folder is just as strong as everyone elses fixed blades, he knows the true secret to survival knife size, he is a tax expert.
I really don’t care what you find “annoying”. I’m not here to please you.It would be amusing if it wasn't so annoying.
You’re the last person I want advice on survivalist ruck marching from. Trust me.Walking 30 miles is the last thing you should be doing in a survival situation, unless you are POSITIVE you know where you are going, and how long it will take you to get there.
What, you saw the pile-on and decided one more was needed? Glad you waited for the right time to jump in.So you're upset someone with experience using a larger knife is giving reasons why they think that size works better for them, admonishing them for it, then asking he debate the topic? Isn't that what he's been doing?

In a survival situation, all your preconceived notions are thrown out the window. That’s what you’re not seeing. It doesn’t matter what knife you have, you have to use it for everything.
Your choice isn’t wrong. My choice isn’t wrong. No one’s choice is wrong, yet here you are as expected pointing out situations just to go against peoples choices.
