If action seems sloppy or knife rattles when closed. Gently tighten fastners and pivot. When snugged up, knife performs flawlessly. The G&G Hawk lock works very well. Remember lock works with thumb and middle finger pinching lock bar and use forefinger to flip open. When closing keep thumb and middlefinger in the same position. Use forefinger to push the top of the blade down. This pressure lifts the lock bar up since your pinching it. Knife snaps shut.
Very fast and simple. Alot of people use their thumb to raise the lock bar up to release and close the blade. Fast track to blisters 16010790052891481276258309720698.jpg 16010790631054080485137014753855.jpg

It is a finger guillotine!

The blade will get you very easily if not careful due to the smooth pivot action.
it can be. fingers need to stay out of the blade pathway at all times. bearings make it move fast. Maks system is best for opening and closing. i used to do it a different way but realized Maks way is safest and easiest.

yep that’s the way I do it. It took me some getting used to it after a liner lock and catch myself thumbing for the tab. Lol but it’s a smooth, fast action that is addictive. With a bit of practice it’s probably the easiest folder I’ve ever used. The only thing I had as a problem was the aggressive jibbing on the lock strap sides. It was grabbing my pocket both removing and inserting. I took it off and smoothed it off and now it’s perfect and more comfortable to use.

That was amazing example of how tough it is. I still have the knife. Damn thing still works. Its got slop when open but adjusting the lock strap would fix that. The pocket clip broke when being ground into the sidewalk under the tire of my F250.View attachment 1426263 View attachment 1426264 View attachment 1426267 View attachment 1426268 View attachment 1426269 View attachment 1426272 View attachment 1426273
I read your other thread. Did you send it to Buck to get the lock adjusted? Would be curious to see if they do. What tool so you need to adjust it?

Makael Makael , I bet a small left handed drill bit would remove those broken off clip screws. I’ve done that many times even on locktite set screws, just put a soldering iron on it till you see a bit of smoke and then drill. If it doesn’t then a quickout screw extractor should.

That knife deserves to be in service again and leave the scars as a badge of honor. Lol

I'll see if I can get them out. I'll have to figure out what size drill bit
