A father and son team, Grant and Gavin have been making knives since 1995 in Idaho City, Idaho. Their designs are innovative and unique, yet are functional and usable.Who is G&G HAWK?
knife geniuses. they've come up with some fantastic stuff over the years.Who is G&G HAWK?
it can be. fingers need to stay out of the blade pathway at all times. bearings make it move fast. Maks system is best for opening and closing. i used to do it a different way but realized Maks way is safest and easiest. It is a finger guillotine!
The blade will get you very easily if not careful due to the smooth pivot action.
If action seems sloppy or knife rattles when closed. Gently tighten fastners and pivot. When snugged up, knife performs flawlessly. The G&G Hawk lock works very well. Remember lock works with thumb and middle finger pinching lock bar and use forefinger to flip open. When closing keep thumb and middlefinger in the same position. Use forefinger to push the top of the blade down. This pressure lifts the lock bar up since your pinching it. Knife snaps shut.
Very fast and simple. Alot of people use their thumb to raise the lock bar up to release and close the blade. Fast track to blisters View attachment 1425917 View attachment 1425918
That was amazing example of how tough it is. I still have the knife. Damn thing still works. Its got slop when open but adjusting the lock strap would fix that. The pocket clip broke when being ground into the sidewalk under the tire of my F250.in case anyone missed it...Maks destructive test of this model knife......

I read your other thread. Did you send it to Buck to get the lock adjusted? Would be curious to see if they do. What tool so you need to adjust it?That was amazing example of how tough it is. Its a small Allen. Used to get one in the box for adjustment.I read your other thread. Did you send it to Buck to get the lock adjusted? Would be curious to see if they do. What tool so you need to adjust it?
I'll see if I can get them out. I'll have to figure out what size drill bitMakael , I bet a small left handed drill bit would remove those broken off clip screws. I’ve done that many times even on locktite set screws, just put a soldering iron on it till you see a bit of smoke and then drill. If it doesn’t then a quickout screw extractor should.
That knife deserves to be in service again and leave the scars as a badge of honor. Lol
