September BOTM

Actually the stern seat is in the third picture I posted earlier above. The knife, it's box and paperwork are sitting on it. It's 1/2 to 2/3 the way through the caning process there.
O.B.
missed that. its looking good.

Mine arrived a day early according to the USPS prognosticators!

A very nice Marksman. This one has no lateral or vertical play. Flips like all of my Marksmans. It is darker in color than I expected from the photos.

I still like the SKBlades versions better, though. I like the scales better.

If action seems sloppy or knife rattles when closed. Gently tighten fastners and pivot. When snugged up, knife performs flawlessly. The G&G Hawk lock works very well. Remember lock works with thumb and middle finger pinching lock bar and use forefinger to flip open. When closing keep thumb and middlefinger in the same position. Use forefinger to push the top of the blade down. This pressure lifts the lock bar up since your pinching it. Knife snaps shut.
Very fast and simple. Alot of people use their thumb to raise the lock bar up to release and close the blade. Fast track to blisters View attachment 1425917 View attachment 1425918

Came back to search for your tips on how to open and shut since my knife was delivered today. When I was looking, I just noticed your dog checking on the tomatoes. Completely missed it Friday when I looked haha. Great pictures and thanks for the pointers on opening/closing!

He won't stay out. We put them on boxes, still goes after them

Well I did that recently with another brand known for half stops and strong pulls. Basically a bear trap. It bit me on opening at the half stop, not to bad but enough to bleed and cuss, it didn’t close shut but it whipped back enough to snag my ring finger on the hand I was pulling the blade with. I plan to fix that problem after I acquire the right pin material to take the blades out and radius the tang.
