Kind regards

Nice pics of some great looking knives Roland. What is the second line on those water buffalo knives?

No. I live in relative poverty. But i do have a lot of knives. These 2 statements are related.

OK, now I get it
German made knives or knives w/ caplifter ( beer bottles) in the spirit of Oktoberfest
I was a tad confused, couldn't figure out the "either or" theme of this month, at first
Gotta check the hoard , but likely going mit Deutschland....

OR, am I still confused, along with, what appears to be , a number of others ?
AND, does it really matter?

Here are a couple of Germans with cap-lifters. The top one just says Solingen. The Mercedes-Benz is by Paul A Henckels.

I guess my Henckels and Vom Cleff should fill the bill this month.

Spirit of Oktoberfest and Germany at all... here we are.

Today afternoon, my wife and I walked out to a so called "Volksfest" - the Jagdnicker was in the legpocket of the leatherpants. :D

Both in tradtional clothing :)

Kind regards

Thank you, Roland!

While I was on this event, I watched the guys exactely what they were carrying in their legpockets (though the gals were also nice to watch). I realized, that about 85 % of the men wearing these clothes used to carry a Nicker, mostly in stag and some were wood handled. Boys at the age of about 12 carried them as well as old men in the age of 80.
The Bavarians are very proud people in their tradition and their gadgets, like knives and clothes etc.

Kind regards
Andi

Interesting thread! Wonderful knives, and traditional clothing!
Makes me thirsty for beer; I think I'll have one after I post my HJ!
