Serious lags!

Just chimming in for future reference.....plus I'm having the same issues

I'm going to try an experiment where I disable Ajax and the quick reply feature and see what that does. We'll try it for a week and see what's up.

It's about 40 minutes since you posted this so I don't know if you've implemented these changes yet, but it just took me nearly 5 min. to open this thread. I got the Firefox "Network Timeout" twice while waiting for it to open.

FWIW- When reporting a post the lag has also been occuring upon clicking the "Send Report" button as well...

avant browser. sometimes i get lags, sometimes not. i was just doing a search and the progress bar stuck at 38% for about a minute. i ended up hitting the back button

Started out doing quite well 1/2 hour ago ... was using latest version of IE as a baseline. As time went by, things slowed down ... first when making a post, then even when page loading.

Didn't get to the point where I timed out, but it was pretty bad. And now ... it's working faster again.

I've experienced these issues with IE, Firefox, and Safari (PC version). Haven't tried with Chrome.

The machine I'm using is pretty high end, too, with lots of custom hardware tweaks. It's well protected on the software side from all the usual forms of idiocy and sabotage.

No problems surfing anywhere else.

The below post took almost two minutes to actually log. You can use it for a time stamp if needed. Very laggy getting over here to post it as well.

This one took so long it became a "network error". I hit refresh and still took forever. Then I simply hit my bookmark for bladeforums and popped back to my home screen. Then popped back to that thread and saw it was logged.

I've had the same problem the last couple of days, plus today posts that I read didn't show up as being read. I just cleared out all my BF cookies and everything seems to be back to normal. You guys might give that a try and see if it helps....

I've been having problems for the past few days as well. I wonder if it has something to do with the search function? I've noticed that when I use the search function that there is no longer a waiting period between new searches. Before you had to wait 1 minute between searches, which I believe went up from 30 seconds do to lag issues?

23:20 EST and i am using firefox.

The forum has been getting slower and slower all day to the point where it is now timing out when i refresh the page or the forum.
I get lags whether i am posting,reading,editing,refreshing,logging back on...whatever i do.

I have tried four different browsers: IE8, Firefox, Chrome and Avant. It happens on all of them.
