Serious lags!

I find that speed returns to normal every nite about 10PM Pacific Time. Until then response time pretty much sucks. I run a solitaire game program while I wait between server requests.

Course there aren't many people posting at that time, and perhaps it helps to know that.

Somebody musta given me a penny.
 
Lag is really bad tonight. Using IE.
Also occasionally getting logged out instead of getting the thread I clicked.

I hit post quick reply at 10:12pm.
 
I am also noticing that my cookies get cleared randomly.

The lag doesn't seem to care which browser I use either.
 
Noticing the lag here too. Loading pages take a while. I visit other sites while I wait for the page to load.
 
here is a new one that happened earlier. i was in the process of making a post when it autoposted. it only had the first line i had typed.
 
Spark must have poked the servers with a stick. 0400 to 0700 EST (now) and not a single problem. Even editing is quick!

Keep that stick handy Spark!
 
Spark, whatever you or the techs did, THANK YOU! Pages and threads are popping now. If you have a chance for the curious cat, do you mind sharing what you did? I am grateful and do appreciate it.

:confused::confused::confused:I have been reading every new post and changing pages and threads for the past 1/2 hour and incurred no lags or even minor ones, even did a advanced search in the GB&U for an online retailer, it returned results in less than a second. The last time I hit new post, it was .23 seconds to pull them all up. I don't know what is going on. But down here in the South, pages are still popping.

Don't speak too soon, you guys are posting at 4:00am and 8:00am in the off-hours, the lag is still here, it took awhile to load this page just now.

The lag seems to be greater during peak hours

I'm still experiencing lag, and in fact I just got timed out and went to a page that said:

Database Error Database error
The database has encountered a problem.

Never had that happen before

I got that 0.5 hrs ago ... was using the latest Firefox.

Have also had fairly severe lags and one VERY severe lag in the past hour.
 
Just hit "New Post" took .07 seconds to pull up the latest pages. When punching the email link to this thread to new replies, the page loaded instantly. I am using Chrome. I just checked this morning at the time I posted the Thank you and there were 768 users online and 23? guests. Right now, there are 643 users and 214 guests.

Edited to add, this posting took a Looooong time to post. Lags must be sporadic.

Ya'll do realize that Spark is at SHOT or this would have been handled already. ;)

Other than that, I'm currently cussing my monitor and keyboard every time I'm waiting for the post. :D

I'm getting response times of, literally, 1 or 2 minutes, sometimes more, today.

What I'm doing now is keeping BF open in another tab and getting on with other stuff in other tabs and just look in on BF every now and then to see if anything has happened.
