Service takes a long TIME!!!

But it's worth the wait. Mine came back as good as, if not better than my new one.

So it's been 9 days since I was told that my knife was mailed back to me and its still not here!
I called 2 days ago and Heather told me that she wasn't familiar with my work order and that Angela was handling it, she then told me that Angela had stepped out for a few moments and would call me back shortly- no such luck !
I've yet to hear from anyone at CRK.
I tried calling this morning only to get the messaging system and a quick reminder that they're closed on Fridays. Now I must wait another 3 days just to find out what part of limbo my knife has been visiting without me, hopefully it doesn't end with a phone call from Chris, like last time, where he tells me that " it is what it is Mate ".

Ill let you all know how it turns out.

At last!
My lost love has been returned to me, it arrived on Sat.
Seems to be that the reason nobody called me back on Wed was that it had never been mailed, how do I know this with zero contact from CRK you ask? Because the shipping date on the label is dated from Wed.

I can understand them not wanting to call me to have to tell me that they hadn't mailed it last week when they told me that they had, probably worried that I'd be upset and give them a hard time- which is untrue! I'm more upset about being left in limbo wondering what happened to my knife and having to make arrangements for several more days than I thought that I would to be home at delivery time to sign for the package delivery - that was a huge inconvenience.

I am happy that they tried to make it right as I'm sure that sending it faster with a Sat delivery cost them much more than standard ground. I also appreciate the free T shirt, and check to reimburse me for original shipping.

In the end I'm unhappy with how long a warranty repair took and the less than stellar communication, I am very happy that they tried hard to make it right though, and that the knife came back in very good shape and nicely tuned.

This was my second experience with CRK warranty/spa work and the first was very similar. In the end I wouldn't say anything against them other than to tell you to prepare for a long wait, but that probably changes from day to day. A good friend of mine sent his knife in a couple of weeks after mine and got it back at the same time.
I will compliment them on the lengths that they'll go to when they are aware that there is an issue to make it right, that is definitely top tier service.

I'll have no problem sending another knife in if it needs work, I'll just be sure to have a back up to use while it's gone ;D

Glad you finally received it!! I hate waiting in limbo! So frustrating! Especially when it's a high dollar folder

Yeah it has been taking them a long time lately...

I got mine back in 7 or 8 weeks. Can't remember which. But they did tell me 4-6 weeks.

It did come back amazing!!

Thank you.

I wouldn't have been put off at all if there had been ANY communication from CRK.

Live and learn, I'm just glad they're busy because the more profitable they are the longer they'll be making sweet knives for me to buy.

Today marks 7 weeks for me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll get an email this week.

I don't understand the problem, I got mine back pretty quick with no issues at all..:D:barf:

I sent mine to CRK for a sticky lock. My arrival notification came on July 1st. I checked last week, still no date given for when it will be done. Same answer...it should be done sometime next week. Hopefully I'll hear something tomorrow.

CRK has always been up-front with me on return times and as such it is only reasonable for me to expect the wait time to be as stated. Each time I have sent something in for one reason or another they have always stuck close to the estimated return times. Kudos to them!

Mine is finally on it's way back. I only received communications on the status when i called or e-mailed them. I was offered no explanation or reason for the extended time. I don't mind the wait, I just wanted communication. Especially for a warranty issue. No loss in love for CRK, but I've lowered my expectations for sending items in.

x2. I poked with emails every Tuesday and Thursday after I hit the 6 week mark. Finally at 8 weeks (this past Thursday) one email was replied to. I was told my knife was ready and to call in with my CC#. I assume it went out Thursday via UPS, though no one ever sent me the tracking number. They again, who knows since no one sent me a tracking number? I assume I'll get home from work some day to a UPS notice on the door reading that I need to drive across town the next day to pick it up. Good times. And, only 2 more knives left at CRK to wait on...

I've been waiting about 3 weeks for a member who posted on this thread to get his knife back so we can make a trade. It's been 3 months for him. His knife is

finally on the way to him.

In the same boat, we haven't been waiting as long though. Kind of a bummer because I've put my Sebenza away so that it's in the same condition as I described. :(

Not having a change of heart though. ;)
