Share Images Of Your Demko Knives

Mike, my maternal grandfather was a master machinist at the Brooklyn Navy Yard back in the day. He was the one that got me hooked on knives as a young lad in the late 1950's.

The closest I ever came to following in his footsteps was while working as an apprentice machinist in a Brooklyn factory, (during summer break in college), where I actually worked on projects contracted by the U.S. Navy. I guess what goes around actually does (sometimes) come around.

Color me very surprised. The last modern folder I bought from Cold Steel was, I'm pretty sure, a Vaquero Grande a couple of decades ago. (I also bought a number of traditional folders and fixed blades, but that's a whole 'nother category altogether.)

So, I wasn't expecting a particularly high level of fit and finish on the AD10 I was able to purchase online for $70.

Well, this thing is awesome. The Tri-Ad lock is smooth as silk. The blade well sharpened and polished. Other than the fact it weighs 7 1/4 ounces, (with lanyard attached), and the pocket clip is tight, I can't find anything worth whining about.

Now I'm really looking forward to the MG AD10...hopefully in a steel I crave and G-10 to keep the weight doable.

Here's the new arrival:

Love the AD10!!!! One of the best they made for the money and just all around. Crazy smooth for a big folder.

Also, I’m going to need to see a picture of this Vaquero Grande!!!!

I gifted it to a forum member in Indiana, (Travis), some years ago along with a Benchmade Dark Star for giving me a good deal on a couple of knives I was keen to pick up from him. (He didn't ask for anything beyond the price we agreed upon, but I felt it was the right thing to do.)

The AD10 Tanto is a beautiful piece for sure! I love the hollow grind in contrast with the secondary edge!

I've been meaning to take John to task for his poor penmanship on my clip point (in the first post). 🤣 (Not titanium scales, though.)

Love Cru-Wear.
The scribe on mine is hard to see...you have to catch the light just right to see the C W.

Cruwear is awesome...one of my favorite steels!
