  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Our front camera captures the local bears with almost boring regularity. Humans and black bears in this area live pretty much without conflict, thankfully.
they usually only show up trash pickup mornings to knock over the bear "proof" trash cans and bounce on them til the steel frame around the lid and lock gives up and pops open..... and when my pineapple crop are about ripe. no idear why they wandering into front alleyway this morning. I do have mirrored windows so maybe they caught a glimpse of themselves and came into the alley to check it out? Who knows.

Florida bears are nuts. Why would you wear a coat like that so far south? I’d be sweating all day every day 😓
we have a special sub species bear. Ursus Americanus Floridanus, or as we call them the florida black bear. dont have to hibernate much or at all, some do some dont....... and much smaller, but still big enough to seriously harm or kill a human. they are also the best trash pickers ive ever seen. put a pack of raccoons to shame......

I have always had the impression that Florida is a pretty easy going place to live...
especially if you're a bear. protected and folks are scared to death of ya. go where ya want, do what ya want...pretty good gig.....

He does. But he gets mats from time to time that are persistent, and he complains when I yank them out. At first I was all like "Oh I'm sorry" and I would give him some food right after. Now it's "It doesn't hurt that much" and then seconds later when the mat is gone, he's belly up and revving the engine into overdrive.

For someone who says he's not very creative, that sure is a creative interpretation. ;)
