This is Athena! She is 1 of 25 of my rescues at our self funded dog sanctuary. She was in a high kill shelter as a pup. I found out and jumped in the jeep and drove 5hrs to get her. Shes super tall and extremely goofy! She like to go feed our 3 ducks and then wrestle with me. Very sweet girl!
This is Ziggy and Little. Ziggy was badly abused and forced to fight young. He was thrown from a moving truck and the car behind got him to the shelter. He was scared of everyone. They called me to come meet him and it was love at 1st sight! His tail wagged and he came right to me for love! He was 9mo old when I got him. He put in the work and is now my shadow! I rarely go anywhere without him! Hes also small town famous! He alerted me at 2am to a fire in my garage and save the house and his other fur friends!
He is hands down my best behaved and i have my 2 highly trained working dogs.
This is Dakota!
She isnt a rescue. She was my partner and I trust her with my life! My 1st K9 flunked out of training...lol! She is now adjusting to non- working life and seem to enjoy it...kinda. I think she'd like atleast 1 more good take down.
Very sad to report this little fella who showed up outside my place in September last year has gone MIA - more than a week now. Even at about 7 months old " now" a very small kitty and easy prey for the larger hawks around here, or coyote out on the bayou.
A neighbor was going to take him in when she was moving residence. Alas too late for "Cowboy". She named him and was very upset at his disappearence. He was so playful and would wait and watch for me coming home, batting at me walking and putting food out.
RIP Cowboy
And this gal that showed up not long after Cowboy is pregnant, I fear for her too. Like Cowboy she has a bad habit of laying down out on open pavement. No one will take her in since she's going to drop a litter soon.
