Sheath Forum?

I'll chime in on this one. Having just finished my first leather project, it would have been great to have a sub-forum dedicated to sheaths. I need a place to show my work, get suggestions and ask questions when I get stuck. Let's make it happen!

A sheath forum would be great! I bend a little kydex here and there for my knives and would love to hear/see how other guys are doing things.

I would LOVE to learn how to construct a leather sheath... but I just don't have the knowledge.

I am all in!

I have so many knives that could use some cow pants or folded plastic a sheath forum would be an excellent addition to all of the other forums where I pi$$ people off. Kydex for the workers and Cow for the hunters. Make it so number one!

I would also like to see a sheath forum. I have made a few attempts at making my own, and it would be nice to have a place to go for advice. Plus, being a Busse fan, it would be nice to be able to check out different sheathing options since Busses don't come with one.

I think a sheath forum is a great idea!! I am all for it. It would be nice to have a place to post specifically for sheath questions. Go for it!

I'd love to have a single site where I can get all my sheath questions answered. BladeForums has been really good to me about getting other info and this would just add to that.

I dig sheaths as much as the knives themselves. A sheath forum would be very welcome in deed.

Keep it going, men! A sheath forum might finally reveal to me the mysteries of leather and kydex.

Thanks to all for participating in this thread.

So far so good Tizwin. :) Were hopefully getting some attention here. :D

This is a great idea. There is so much involved in sheath making that it would be helpful to have a sub-forum that focuses on techniques, resources, reviews, etc... Again, I think this is a really good idea. :)

This is an excellent idea. Noobs and seasoned members alike should have a place to learn this stuff as well as to find the right pair of pants for their steel.

I think it is a great idea. I am all for it :thumbup:

A really great idea. Getting input from others always helps problem solving/decision making AND flattens out the learning curve. A great big ups on this idea!

There really does seem to be enough interest that it appears a sheath forum would be well received. I would love see what Spark thinks.

Hey Cerberus! Good to see you again! :D

Well, I spoke and nothing has happened........there must be something wrong with my mojo:confused:

This is still a great idea and I hope to see it come to reality.

Leatherman, I am always around here in some fashion, just been real busy lately.
If you had a forum to moderate, say like a sheath forum of some sort, we could talk more. I need to talk to someone about that:D

The problem with this is sustainable traffic. Look at the MultiTool forum. Look at the Personal Grooming / Shaving forum. Both subjects have a lot more to offer than sheaths, and get minimal traffic.

No disrespect intended, but Most of us learned to shower, wipe our bottom, brush our teeth and shave years ago so I could see where a forum on these subjects may want for traffic. These same people who know how to shave, shower and sh** seem to want to learn more about sheath making so maybe they might be a nice suprise and show up and contribute to a Sheath Forum.
