ShepardCC: Custom Knife Scales & Backspacers **Books OPEN**

Lost camera charger and a few long days prepping a tower to be dropped have prevented me from any good pictures...I'll do my best tomorrow, but it may be a day or two yet before I have good pictures. You outdid yourself though Eric...many thanks, and good pictures to come soon.

Hey Josh,

Yes kydex only.

Get that camera Going B! You know you take wayyy better pics than I do! I want to see that chokwe on top of a tower. Lol. Just kidding on the tower. ;)

Hey Josh,

Yes kydex only.

Cool, I come across sheaths quite frequently that are improperly designed and dull the edge, such as the Shiv Works clinch pick... the kydex wraps around the edge instead of sandwiching and protecting it from contacting the kydex while sitting in it. It may be difficult for this blade, but other knives such as kabars and cold steels definitely are designed wrong! I will send some people your way buddy.

I could have, but we took the last tower down rather than building one, and the Chokwe isn't my first choice of work knife for a few reasons. I carry my CruWear Millie, CruWear Manix, S110V Manix, SE Tasman Salt, SE Spyderhawk Salt, and 204P PM2 the most often at work. I did carry my Chokwe at work yesterday, but it's more of an anomaly, and as I said we cut a tower down rather than climbing or building one. You can bet that you'll see pictures though if I bring it up a tower. Most likely you'll see after work pictures of it since that's the setting in which it sees the most usage. I've been thinking about using it for the Spyderco calendar contest this year actually. The problem with the Chokwe and pictures up a tower is that it would really have to be a tailstand picture (Obviously), and a rogue gust of wind could fairly easily blow it right off the top...that and you're rarely up a tower alone and someone else climbing or shifting their weight can potentially shake the tower enough to cause a tailstanding Chokwe to topple. As I said though...I'll do what I can for sure.

Does your partner up there with you ever look at you funny for taking pics of knives while working up on top of a tall tower?
My buddies used to look at me funny when I took pics with my knife with my food...until I turned them into knife guys and now they do it too. Lol

No, they all know me well enough by now lol. Here's pics of the Chokwe scale...I still can't find my camera charger, but I couldn't resist taking a few pics of this thing with my phone. I'll follow up with the others shortly if I can't find my camera charger. I'll likely end up borrowing a camera if I need to...these scales are too awesome not to show off.

Hey just checking in I know you probably have a lot on your hands, but would you still happen to have that carbon/copper I emailed you about?

Okay sent an email with a different account :) see if that worked! Maybe it's sending them to your spam folder or something funny.

Hey,

I sent an email, not sure if it went through. I'm looking to replace the grips on a Cold Steel Pendleton Custom Classic. I'm also looking to get a sheath for it. Are the grips doable?

Thanks!
