ShepardCC: Custom Knife Scales & Backspacers **Books OPEN**

Native 5 or Ulize, though my Chokwe (Not in picture) has a black G10 scale that could be changed. And now that the Manix 2 is going FFG I'll have to grab one finally...that's another good candidate. The hardest part will be choosing which. You've done some mean Manix 2 and Native 5 scales already, but you haven't done a Ulize yet to my knowledge. It would be amazing with coloured carbon fiber scales IMO, though I do think increasing the width of the scales significantly would be a mistake because it's slimness is what makes it carry so nice and is really a defining factor of the knife. It would probably be my first choice for new scales just because it really is an amazing design, and I think a little more character could improve it further.
 
I haven't done any got the ulize or.the chokwe yet so I'd love to take on that project.

I'm very excited for the new mule. I plan on getting a few of them.

I also pre ordered the ZT 562 cf. So I can't wait to pimp some of those out. Feel free to pre order some of those pimp jobs ;)

Also....I thought about venturing into making my first Fixed Blade! Been tinkering with a few designs and I think I have it set.
It will be 11.1 inches overall with a 5 inch cutting edge. Either in cpm 154 cm, s30v, s35vn, or maybe cpm 3v. I'm working on getting all the details worked out.

Thinking of starting a new thread about it to get some input.
 
Any teaser pics of how the acid washing turns out with the tumbled finish S30V? The new FFG Manix 2's appear to have the same finish.

What kind of spyderco are these?
 
I'm excited to see what you come up with for my Schempp Tuff. Bought a brand new Lava today, so that may bump the Ulize as the next knife up for custom scales. I didn't think there were any more Lava's being distributed as Spyderco doesn't release all of the numbers of a sprint run at one time, but my local store got it in a shipment sometime in the last week and I had to snatch it up.

I really like the lava. It's a great little knife. Ohhhh I already have an idea for your lava. It'll go with the John deer theme you like :)
 
Pulled the trigger and ordered some Ghost Jade G10 scales,Anso pattern, with pink G10 liners for my mint Dodo.....can't wait.:cool:

I want my Lava to look like Lava. Black, dark grey, and dark orange.
