Shield Selection?

I may be a bit off here so excuse me if I'm not making good sense, but, I like the shields but it seems a bit awkward selecting a shield for a knife(or knives)I haven't seen. Sometimes shields will make or break a knife.

Put me down for a me too on that. :D.

I like the way you have them 1,2,and,3 :( BUT I would agree shield needs to enhance the knife and not all do?.!:foot::)

Now I think you said a utility style? :)

Ditto... this is a pattern and handle material specific thing for me.

But, having said that, 1,2, preferred in that order, and then 3, but only if I absolutely had to-just something wrong about the clipped corners to the top IMO.

#2, I don't think I've ever seen that shape before, and really like it, but on the wrong knife, I would not. so #1 wins out to first choice because it is a simple classic shape that I can see being nice on almost anything.

Well I understand. This is a shadow pattern, ss liners, rosette, shield, then a cover of black Rucarta (Phenolic+fiber) 4 3/8" handle and a single 3 5/8 blade of Swedish ss.

At the same time a smaller version 3 5/8" handle, 3 1/16" blade available at same time

I cannot get into handle/blade shape or prices and hope that the above does not cross the line. for more information email agr@agr3.com

If it is a clip or swedged drop point(not asking, just saying) I'm in for two of each size.

I like all three. My main concern with a shield is ,I like it pinned to the liner & in proportion, size wise,to the scales it is on,too big & too small,IMO,you might as well just leave it off

Call me kooky, but I recon I need to see the specific knife prior to selecting a sheild. Perhaps you could expound a bit?

3-1-2

1 is a bit blah...2 a bit too busy and puts me in mind of an LEO shield...3 is a nice elegant design.
