Shield Selection?

Well I understand. This is a shadow pattern, ss liners, rosette, shield, then a cover of black Rucarta (Phenolic+fiber) 4 3/8" handle and a single 3 5/8 blade of Swedish ss.

At the same time a smaller version 3 5/8" handle, 3 1/16" blade available at same time

I cannot get into handle/blade shape or prices and hope that the above does not cross the line. for more information email agr@agr3.com

3, 2, 1

3 and 2 are a longer thinner shapes and might fit better on longer shaped scales

3, 2, 1. The general shapes are fine but I would prefer a bit more radiused corners and not the sharp angles.

Honestly, I have not followed your other knives, but having just looked now, yes, the acorn would be nice over these three.

Several of you have commented on the A. G. Russell Acorn, if that were an option, how many of you would prefer it?

A. G.,

I think you will find the acorn shield a winner. Ive admired the acorn shield ever since I first saw them on some of the original Remington's.

Best,

Anthony

I'm a huge fan of the acorn shield. It's what drew me to the Queen City series. Yours look really nice!

I agree that the knife must be seen in order to choose the best shield for it. However, if the knife is a plain utility #1 would seem better suited for its simplicity. #2, though, is the finest of the three because of its finely pointed edges.
