Shields falling off...???

Has anyone had any problems with GECs glued on shields popping off? I myself have not, but I have only been into GEC for about a year. The only GECs I have noticed with pinned shields are from the Tidioute brand.

GEC doesn't glue their shields - they pin them.
 
Thanks for the suggestions&commiserations. Scruff, I think I may grind down the offending 'socket,' but the jigging is very deep on this knife so it will show, aarghh!

Sarah, I wrote to them returning the other shields, copied a pic of the knife and told them what it was covered in (WCSB) and pattern No.11 and said the recess was around 8mm so they OUGHT to know what to send....or send a selection, but no. I hear their new models in Zebrawood are pinned, but I can't see evidence of it inside the liner, the shield is different though. Now I'm anxiously watching my Carved Bonestag Queen knives, they may shed at any time:mad::eek:
