Shiv. Shiv. Shiv.

I'm getting some roughed out on the mill but Mark is going to have his hands full grinding these

Really deep 4" hollow grind. What a bear.

Truly amazing, Nathan. Unfortunately, like the swords, not for me, I can feel the injury happening just looking at it. Not the pig sticker's problem though.

Judging by the comments and reactions here, I'd say it's closer to 100%

As I said previously, feels great. Here it is compared to UF1/DEF1 (not sure how the UF2/DEF2 compares). Between the thicker blade stock, and the scales themselves having a bit more swell, really fills the hand nicely.

Damn thats slick. Liking that thicker handle, I know what I'll be carrying in the back country and hog hunting. Think I'll name it the Danger Dangus, the uf2 can be Danger Dangus Jr

Just be sure to check screws on the belt loop attachment. Mine were pretty loose, and I think it's because the tighter they are (at least when using the top set of holes), the harder it is to get the knife out because it makes it harder for the halves to split apart at the throat.

Thanks for the tip. I'll use some blue loc tite and get the retention where I need it with the screws.

That handle swell the way that it is, where it is, makes the blade point straight when held in a saber grip. This way you know where the point is, it is aligned with your arm. It helps the knife function as an extension of your arm. You don't need to look at it to know where the point is.

This is one of the differences between the Shiv and the Utility Fighter. The UF scales are a lot flatter to help them lay flat and compact in your kit, but it is a design compromise because it does not point the same way as the full size 8" Shiv. If you have both of these, you should try it and you'll see what I'm talking about.

This is a difference between a multi-purpose utility fighter and a purpose-built single-purpose weapon.

So on Friday February 23rd I received a email from PayPal saying that my Shiv was shipped!...
Along with UPS tracking number etc etc!... But since last Friday every time I go to check the tracking number it says the same thing and that
Is 1) Label created, 2) The delivery date will be provided as soon as possible !... And that's it nothing else besides it saying that a signature is required!.. so I hope UPS is just way behind on the tracking number for it and I hope it will show up very soon on my porch or at the door with the delivery driver waiting for someone to sign his clipboard ! ...
