As I said previously, feels great. Here it is compared to UF1/DEF1 (not sure how the UF2/DEF2 compares). Between the thicker blade stock, and the scales themselves having a bit more swell, really fills the hand nicely.

well crap. that was one of the things I disliked about the UF... handle didnt fit my mitts. too skinny.

I can a bit later.
The Shiv is lighter than I thought that it'd be. When holding the DEK1 and Shiv in each hand there really wasn't a too noticeable of a difference.

So on Friday February 23rd I received a email from PayPal saying that my Shiv was shipped!...
Along with UPS tracking number etc etc!... But since last Friday every time I go to check the tracking number it says the same thing and that
Is 1) Label created, 2) The delivery date will be provided as soon as possible !... And that's it nothing else besides it saying that a signature is required!.. so I hope UPS is just way behind on the tracking number for it and I hope it will show up very soon on my porch or at the door with the delivery driver waiting for someone to sign his clipboard ! ...

I've been trying to print labels out about a day ahead of time. Some people forget to update their address and then once UPS takes it I have a hard time changing the address. This way people have time to get back to me and change the address if necessary. UPS does have your box now though.

Printing out shipping labels is part of the final assembly and boxing process.

It's not unusual to have boxes with labels in them sitting on the end of the assembly bench waiting for the finished knives to come together.

When we are shipping a lot, it is pretty typical for there to be a day or two between printing the label and UPS picking up the finished package. I think it is like this just about everywhere.
