i'm thinking the BK12 should ship by now. gunna be hard to have in hand by end of month.

the zombie killers are made of 440c. a high quality metal that even ESEE uses.
 
It is getting to be time, isn't it? I gots to get crackin' on my micarta scales for the Ritter/Becker collab. :eek:
 
It says shipping by the end of the month. Maybe they were waiting for SHOT before they shipped? Either way, hope they ship soon!
 
They made a baby Baconmaker, it looks like. Those handles also resemble the scales on the Potbelly and Baconmaker too. I've been telling everyone that they are good stuff. Kabar thinks so too.

I know that many guys here see the scales as green snot or something, but I'd buy them as a replacement on my Potbelly. Pretty damn hard to miss in the leaves or snow with those on. Anyway, no pics, so it's time to pinch a few brown trout.

It seems like, we are the last to get any useful info from these shows. We have to spy all over in order to get some news or pics. Nothing from our own official sources. Not like the "others"...
Why is that?
 
cuz, Ethan is a technophobe, and none of "us" went there with a camera/laptop. what's this THAT? why are you bitches not at shot show? :)

now, i wanted to go, but between finances and job and shipping project yesterday meant working 16+ hour shifts the last few days, and no show, but i'm getting paid, so...

would be nice if a few people took pictures of the major booths and posted them at least. from what i gather, there are no new Beckers, at all, to be seen at the booth. i'll be talking to Ethan, and maybe Toooj and get specs on that Zombie stuff. have already inquired remotely about various ... things. sadly, i can't spill the beans (some of what happens at shot show in vegas is confidential and stays at shot show in vegas; you'll find out next month)

at Blade 2011, i expect to be there, with at least an internet connected camera phone. the least you'll get is pictures, and information. m00se too, and many more, i expect.
 
Well John went with Ethan to Blade, to take photos, and get them up, but alot of the stuff at Blade is not for "public viewing", that's why you have to be in the "industry" to be invited. I've already made arrangements to be at next years, but that's next year. What you are seeing in the other forums, belong to those that run the forum. The only new Beckers featured at this Shot Show, is the BK5 and ESKabar. They are the newest Beckers. We'll get some feedback, but it won't be "real time". Ethan is doing what Ethan does at these large shows, and that's make future plans. You will like these future plans, you will want the future plans, and you will know about it as soon as it can be talked about.

I want info as much as you guys, and I got friends there and all I get is phone calls. If I had pics, believe me, they would be up.

It sux, but its the reality.

i went to Blade 2009. i took a LOT of pictures. i got some insides scoops. i posted pictures. know how many people were excited by that? not many ;) it's a show, with knives.

sure, we want to know. being there would be fun. they can show you prototypes you can't buy for 6 or 9 or 12 months. that hurts more. trust me.

yup, same deal like last year's blade show...no info at all. esee is much better at keeping everyone informed and even asking our input in ongoing projects. that's one thing i wish ka-bar/becker would learn from.
 
I could have asked Ken Lunde to zap some photos of the KaBar stuff. If he's still there, I still can.
However, from what we know, there's not much tangible at this show as far as new Becker lines. Patience, grasshoppers.
