Shot show 2011

Jeez, fine, here.

These are some really nice looking guns. Great shapes to em, just really beautiful to look at. A lot of really nice hardware on em too.

Oh and there are ladies there too. Just in case you didn't notice.

I've got an email in to Ken. Today is his last day at the show.

Crack away. All I can find is chatter about the Zombie Killer knives. Becker who?

I must wanted to use my whip smiley, that 's all. I don't crack whips.:D

Yeah, I been scouring the internetz for anything, and the Zk is about the extent, even on the gun forums, nothing real interesting. The BK5 and ESKabar are the Becker features at SHOT.

Anyhoo, there will be some interesting stuff after its over and press releases can be issued regarding some of the stuff. Alot is still under a gag order from what I have heard. Some guys are signing NDA's for a chance to see some new guns.

Guys, Ken Lunde took these pics for us.

These knives look pretty good. I like the machete better than the Wart Hog, I think.

He also grabbed the 2011 Ka-Bar catalog for me and will be sending it along.

Ka-Bar's new Grass Machete (#1279) with a 14-inch blade:

And the Heavy Duty Warthog (#1278) with 6.75-inch blade:

I like either of those better than all of the zombie killer things combined.

Don't think you will for a while.
Tweeners and maybe a Machax (hopefully) later in the year?
And no, I don't think those are full-tang models.

Not seeing any new BK&T goodness here.

afaik, there's isn't anything new. i believe m00se already said (somewhere) that the only things "new" shown from last SHOT being shown (Eskabar, Magnum CCamp), and of course, the latest variants of the existing lineup.

maybe for Blade 2011 they'll have a couple things to show us.

KaBar seems to have blown its collected wad getting the Zombie stuff out there. i think they ran low on [Becker type] steel as well over the Summer? that might have affected things some.

Would have at least expected to see prototypes, but I dunno that they've ever rolled that way.

for laughs : will it shred?

I was at the show but didn't take any photos. The KaBar Becker booth looked pretty good. Congrats on the new products. I got to put a Bk2 in my hands for the first time. WOW! I'm getting one!

Ken, I see you down there.
Thanks again for all the pics, not just the Ka-Bar ones.
Your site must take up some pretty good bandwidth this time every year.
Hope your trip was a good one.

Yes, much thanks, and great, great photos, brother, we appreciate it.

I like both of these, but what's up with the grinds on them? Also, thickness. Anyone? Since they look like the Taiwan made choppers, I'm going to assume they're 1085. Maybe 'sideshowbob8' will come along and give some more info.
