SHOT show is over with!

wow nutnfancy sounds like he was a total asshole. thats to bad, some of his reviews are pretty good( though i did stop watching them after they passed 10 minutes)

haha the ol' "Do you know who I am?" from nutnfancy...that's gold. Did he have his video camera recording as he approached the booth?

You'd think he'd call or email before the show and try to set something up, especially if he's going to want to do a lengthy interview/product overview.

My whole thing is I simple don't like rude people, regardless if they are good at what they do or not. Rudeness is not something I will tolerate. Nutn was rude. He's not welcome at our booth from this point forward. I could give the first shit if he ever does another review of an ESEE product. Again, we don't play to the "press", we talk to our users and customers.

I can't believe he had the balls to interrupt conversations with customers, push/cut in front of everyone standing around to announce his presence like he is the second incarnation of Jesus Christ. I am very respectful to everyone, even if they don't deserve it, and when people are disrespectful to me (let alone customers of a company I own) I wouldn't be too happy about it either.

I work in IT and love technology/the internet and how it can connect people and all of the knowledge transfer, but it has allowed people to rise up via youtube and they think they are 'celebrities' in whatever field they are involved with. I'm sure he'll be pissed when he reads this, but hopefully he will take some of this to heart.

Don't cut in front of customers at a crazy busy booth and demand interview time. Proper/Official media outlets are professional and make appointments. Party-crashing a busy booth isn't professional or respectful. If you want to pretend like you are a member of the "media", act more professional. What was described reeks of a hack loser who thinks he is way more special than he is because of the random losers and little kids on the Internet who watch his youtube videos worship him.

These are crazy times. We are raising a nation of people without any common sense or a sense of respect for others. I rarely meet people who know how to act proper in my day-to-day life.

Anytime anyone steps in front of a customer or end-user and starts blabbing about who he is and that he doesn't have time to wait, yes, that just put him in the "asshole" category in my book. I was pretty much neutral about the guy before SHOT. After SHOT, I'm not longer neutral. ESEE wants nothing to do with him.

Yes, we gave away about 10,000 dollars worth of product at the show.... and that's average internet retail price, not MSRP.

The only knives we didn't give away were some that we traded for some flashlights from a compnay setup across from us. That damn Tony Dobbs is a deal making SOB!

I'm really digging the Extreme Beam Lights... I think I traded for the XT8 series I got 4-5 of them , I'm not sure ? walked over there with some ESEE blades and walked away with some really nice Flashlights,I'm packing mine today at work, came with a nice belt sheath to boot :D

Why should he call ahead? "I'm Nutnfancy, bitch!"

;)

Anyone checked his vids for one disparaging ESEE yet?

That doesn't even matter to us. He can say anything he wishes. All that is his game. All we're saying is we will not work with him in the future simple because he's a rude asshole.

Sounds like ya'll had a good time, I wish I could have gone, sounds like a great time!! I've never seen thoose lights before, but they look pretty nice

oh wow, although i do appreciate nutnfancy and his elaborate and EXTREMELY LONG WINDED reviews about knives he sounds like an ass. Perhaps he will come forward and apologize for his rudeness but as it stands kudos to ESEE and their no assholes allowed attitude! :D

Thank the mods here for that since they ran him off ;) Anyone who's working a booth for us, customers, or end users will be treated respectfully. Period. Just because someone is "known" does not mean they have any priority over a user or customer. In fact, in our eyes they have LESS priority.

I've been following this "Mr.Nutn"-guy for quite some months now and you can really see a difference in his videos and style of reviews. He started like a more or less normal guy and turned into what you have seen on the SHOT...

In the early days his stuff was really limited, did reviews on items he already posessed or was given/lend by a friend but with the growing community and awareness of the manufacturers combined with the attitude he seems to have nowadays I really doubt stuff like "no I am not getting the stuff for free, I pay for everything and NO, I wont do any profit out of the whole thing"... Funny thing he always tells the audience is that he is not influenced by any of the makers BUT knows most of them by name, is in close contact to them and gets his wishes realised? C'mon...

Despite that I hate to hear him saying "DOOOOOOOD" in different variations every 5 seconds of his 40+min vids... In the past I really appreciated the work and detailed reviews he uploaded but nowadays?

I'm going to check the next vids he is uploading because he told at the end of one that he is planning to visit you guys. Lets see whether he rolls in some footage of the uber crowded ESEE booth or not :p

Really really big  for your attitude towards guys like him with this kind of mentality regardless of any impact on his vids/reviews! I wish more guys in the business had your balls of 1095!!! :D

I don't think he sees his actions as rude. It's just how he acts and a majority of the companies that he approches in that manner jump for the bit of camera time. It works for him.

Were all southerners, we take courtesy and manners a bit more seriously.:D

First time he came to the booth, we were in the middle of our daily giveaway. Uber busy with 150+ folks hanging in front of our 10 foot booth. No chance we could talk to him. Shook his hand and told him he was an asshole:D.

I asked him to come back in about a half hour and I'd get him all the face time he needed and intro him to Jeff. His response..... "Got alot of people waiting on me bro."

When that didn't work and I still said no, he said he'd try to swing back by and left. He came back a few hours later when I wasn't there. Oh well.

As for him now giving us bad press because we weren't responsive to his wishes, that would be pretty disingenuous seeing how he's been pretty impressed with our products in the past. And he is a gear reviewer and not a company reviewer. I don't think he'd go that direction.

I run a review site for combat sports gear (jiu jitsu, mma, kickboxing etc) and I always state if something was given to me or given to me at a discount...because that's the honest thing to do.

Some of what he considers training seems hokey almost like "Hi, I'm training for red dawn and I carry a bow staff, 4 knives, two guns and some OC spray"

I prefer to spend money on my kids or wife if I can, but my birthday is coming up so I might treat myself to a new knife :)
