How do you keep the heat shield from sliding forward on the barrel? I'm not seeing a spacer to keep it in place.

I had never heard of them, but it was on the shotty when I got it. It has a feature that allows you to adjust the retention on each individual shell.

That fifth picture is quite interesting. It looks like the shot shell is actually bending and flexing from the force of the ejection.
