Shotgun goodness

None of you are macho enough for this.

"Custom, or factory paint job?"

Came that way from the factory. The color on the barrel & receiver aren't painted, but it seems to be some kind of coating. It's pretty durable & hasn't scratched yet. My local LE toy store had a few on the rack some years ago & I had to have one.

^ Me Likey! What is it, and where can I get it?
Molot VEPR12, a Russian made AK shotgun, their importation is banned now, but you can still find them new, that's a 12rd mag, I also have a 25rd drum for it, that's pretty entertaining in rapid fire.

Years ago, this facility was right down the street - Addieville East Farm - with easy access to a great automated sporting clay course and year-round upland hunting. Had matching Ruger Red Label's in 12 and 20 gauge at the time and shot every week.

Shooting single house trap these days, since it's what my current local club offers. Duck and quail hunting every few years as well. Into semi-auto now, specifically the Browning Maxus Hunter. The gas recoil system is much softer vs the side by sides. The mag cut-off switch, which I originally thought was gimmicky, actually has been helpful at times and the first round speed load works well.

Has been in service almost seven years now, and still looks pretty good.

We've got pictures of knives, pictures of handguns, pictures of all manner of things that come in handy in our daily lives, or are just downright fun. Let's have some more fun. Let's see what shotguns folks have. Pump, double barrel, home defense, hunting, whatever it is, let's have some boomstick appreciation.
A nice thing about Mossberg 500s is being able to go from one configuration to another quickly and cheaply (other guns can do it too, but the 870 doesn't have a readily available bayonet lug!).

That fifth picture is quite interesting. It looks like the shot shell is actually bending and flexing from the force of the ejection.
I think that's an illusion caused by the shell moving during the camera exposure.

They're out there. Just have to keep looking on the usual sites. Try "mossberg wood corncob fore end" in the search string. That's all I did. I'll post on your page if I stumble on one.
