Shouldn't every Friday be "Black Friday"

Real, genuine, wood grain black Zytel handles. 😳😇👍

I wonder why Zytel is not used for traditional knife covers/scales.
There is zero doubt it is stable, durable, and weatherproof ... it is used for center fire hunting and target rifle stocks, and hunting, skeet/trap and military issue battlefield, and police shotguns, after all.

Steve, there are, or have been, some Zytel-handled traditionals out there. I googled "pocket knives with zytel covers" and got lots of hits, some of which are traditional. Here are some examples I have, all from Case.
This Case Blackhorn lockback has Zytel covers:

I also have a pair of Case Caliber knives, a muskrat and a LT347 stockman, that have olive drab (so they don't really fit this thread) Zytel covers and no liners:

Here's the black knife assigned to me by my rotation schedule this week. It's an Imperial Ireland stockman whose covers are nylon, I think, but not reinforced by fiberglass as Zytel is.

5K Qs 5K Qs I was unaware the Case Caliber series have Zytel.
I almost bought a white Case Caliber soon after I joined.
I decide on a Buck 301 from Walmart, instead. No waiting for shipping (and getting home time, or visit to the yard to get it after it was delivered), and the Buck cost less.

My One & Only Sowbelly stockman.
Marbles (no "MR" number) D2 and G10.
I dropped the swedge near the down sweep of the tip on the Spey on the pile side, using a diamond sharpening stone. It was necessary to drop the pull on the Sheepsfoot from a "pry it up to open 10+" to a "5" because of blade rub.
All 3 blades have swedges on both sides, and flush in all 3 positions half stops.
