This one meets most of the threads requirements.

On that knife, the nick is a bit more open in the middle. Like a normal nick but ovaled a bit more in the center. Something they did only with the Moby Dick issue. I haven't seen it on any other Case knives. Engraved bolsters, Scrimmed Bone and a different Nail Nick to make those unique I guess.

That's a nice old Case, Keith.

Thanks to all for their contributions.

Let's please try to stay on track with the 5" (plus) full sized folding hunters (as originally depicted) if you would. (We can start a new thread for coke bottles, smaller hunters etc.) Thanks.

My father's old Kabar.

I have one nearly just like that that I got from my grandfather. Mine has synthetic scales, and a replaced pivot pin that he installed after it broke on him. It's very well done, though, and you wouldn't be able to tell except that the color of the pin doesn't match the bolster. Does yours have a pinned shield, too? One of the only knives I've seen that had one. Unfortunately I don't have the knife with me, so no pics. :o

Schrade Walden Alaskan Hunter

I have the original sheath as well..this is one heck of a chunk of 1095 carbon steel.

I am very fond of this pattern, and am not done accumulating them. I really want one of those Schrade Buffalo Bills. Here are most of mine, including about 36 Schrades, all different. In fact there are no duplications at all here. I will try to get a couple of shots of some of the more interesting ones tomorrow or the next day. This thread is after my heart, for sure! Thanks for starting it, Elliot!

Here is a Schrade customized with stag by Herman Williams, and a rare first generation Carl Schlieper.

 Nice...

I got this Queen when I started collecting 5 1/4" in D2
I was quite new and had no idea of how quite large it was!

Since my knife is 10 time zones away and since I got the knife from Bill, I am borrowing his image

That is a lovely Bulldog. Send it along so it can join its brother in World Harmony! :D:D
