Show Me Your Apocalypse Arsenal

They all look legit to me. It's mostly a question of permits.....you're just verrrrrry limited in their use. That's where most people would be tempted to "bend" the law. That 5 rounds mag capacity limit is also a bummer. People could be tempted to unpin those mags..... The mag capacity limit takes away a lot of the appeal for those rifles, at least to me.

I know a couple of ranges where no one would even look at you twice for those guns. A good friend of mine is into 3 guns competition. Didn't even know we had those here.

The entire "restricted" classification for AR rifles is what keeps me away from them ( don't get me started on why AK are banned). I've got a feeling that we are heading to a ban on many more "assault type" rifles..... Scared of losing a lot of $$$.

Look at the reclassification of the Swiss arms rifles....scary. I fear a ban is next.

I agree, very limited in our ability to use them. It is actually a 10 round capacity as any AR with a barrel length of 10.5" or less is considered a pistol; this allows for 10 round magazines. The law also states that any firearm capable of accepting pistol magazines are allowed to be used with that firearm, regardless of classification. All of my mags are "unpinned" I use doweling as it is much easier to break the mag down and clean or repair it. Those pins really mess with the springs.

I also shoot 3 gun competitions. I got started while i worked at a local range here in town. There is IPSC and IDPA around here.

Yes, the restricted class sucks. restricted in everything a guy does or wants to do. There are much better places to discuss the validity and sense of canadian laws, but i believe you and i are reading the same book if not the same page.

With the re-classification that happened a few months ago the fear is very real, however i believe the government will bite off more than they can chew if they go after any more firearms. They turned lawful citizens into criminals overnight with the re-class. the response was incredible, with over 200000 names on one petition. There will be a breaking point with firearm owners. if the re-class sticks and they chase more firearms, things could go south (you have your GTFO bag packed?). quick.

The only info that I was missing was the 10.5 " rule. But I knew about the 10 round pistol mag ok in rifles rule.

Yup. We are reading the same book.

That is an interesting looking scattergun. Tell us about it please.

No problem! It's a Remington 870 that I've pretty much rebuilt from the ground up. It has:
• Full FDE Magpul furniture and an AFG
• Magpul Barrel Clamp
• GG&G 6 Shot Side Saddle
• GG&G Enlarged Safety
• Trijicon Tritium Ghost Ring Sights
• Nordic Components Follower and Spring
• HFD2 "Pumkin Puncher"

This isn't my revolver, someone brought it to me to work on. The hand broke and is missing (I have the trigger, hammer spring, transfer bar, etc.).

But, the thing is kind of an odd rarity so I figured it deserved posting.

Cause if you run out of ammo, you can pistol whip the hell out of a zombie.

Prepare yourself for the one, and only, MIL Thunder Five (everything else is just an imitation)

Got my first .45 today!!

While I'm waiting to here the Ganza reply I have been fiddling with outfitting my new vest. It is the CQR model 2 from Line of Fire made locally in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

My quick review on it: Awesome, simply Awesome. It is very comfortable to wear, the load I currently have on it is all front yet it feels balanced. The fitment is incredible and the cobra clips allow for quick on/off capability (I'm slow and I can do it in 5 seconds or less). I have worn quite a few vests in my time and this is the finest carrier I have put on. Cobra clips, 4 shingle mag pouches (ar15, ar10, ak47 and so on) and the list goes on. I chose the multicam, though they have a plethora of options. Soft armor is a level 3 with 3a plating strong enough to withstand .338 lapua and even had successful testing against .50BMG soft armor on all sides as well as 10x12" front and back 6x8" plating on the sides. I'm hoping if things do go south, this will have me covered. Without further ado:

The pistol is a SIG P226 Scorpion 9mm (in one of the mag pouches) and of course my new War Boar.

I am amazed at how much I can learn from the boards here!

Had no idea a "pumpkin puncher" even existed to even Google it...now I even know what it's designed for!

Sounds like an effective tool especially for the price!

Here it is in action...judge for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oz42Y9IGNQ

Im really liking that setup! I've worn my share of vests and this 1 looks exactly what I want now. Did all the armor and mag carriers come as set or where they add-on options and did you happen to notice if they had shoulder / bicep armor add-ons

L.O. - the pistol pouches are hsgi that I bought separately. I do have shoulder/deltoid/bicep/neck protection coming as well as a battle belt and drop leg molle. All soft armored. You can buy the carrier as is, add soft, hard or both. The ar mag pouches are built right into the vest. Beautiful for positive hold on the mags. Oh and the adjustability is insane. Pm or email me if you want any other info.

Yup, it's used primarily for breaching. But, definitely won't shy away from a good old barrel thump to the chest! I picked it up straight from the maker. They give a great military/leo discount too!
