Show me your Blur!

Where do you guys find these? I watch ebay but there's not all that much that comes up and if it does it's expensive
 
I found the s60v locally and traded it with some other knives for a 0301 that had the coating stripped and blade satined.

The Blur is one model that, in my brief experience, can be had much cheaper on eBay using the Auction. I monitored them for several days and found that Blurs were being acquired for $35 to $45. I just figured out what my maximum bid would be, and applied it on with about 15 seconds to go on an auction. It took half a dozen auctions, but I got one for $40.

Good luck trying that with a Skyline, though. :(

"Standard" Blur models, yes. You didn't find rare ones for $35-$45! :eek: As you'll see in this thread rare Blurs have gone for upwards of $371 on ebay.
 
S60V Blem or not, those green blurs are one of the best looken blurs made. Nice find. I wouldnt mind having a second one

I've been paying attention and the really rare ones are usually above $150, I'm hoping that $371 was just an anomaly though.

Sadly it isnt, some where there are a few people sitting there with a lot of money and they are competing with each other for every cool Blur that shows up. We as regular knife loving men, who don't have an extensive bank account just get to sit and enjoy the show. Well not completely enjoy the show, but get pissed off that we are no longer willing to bid, and are regularly shocked at the insanely high prices that these knives sell for.

$371 for a ANN, I sold a few back in the day for $120 or $130...

You and me both! I've only seen one go higher than that while I've been watching and that was a non-blem S60V that was sold buy it now for $400. I wanted it bad but just couldn't bring myself to click the button and my Blur arch nemesis bought it.

Agreed. It's really frustrating to want these knives to add to the collection but know that you just can't afford it. :( Then you had one guy in particular (I call him my Blur arch nemesis) that bought up at least 4 blues while I've been watching. We all have our favorites but why hoard all of them? :confused: He's beat me out of like 6 different auctions at the last second. :mad: I've been lucky enough to get 2 of the ANN knives however, one for $90 and the other $110.
 
Haters gonna hate :p haha.I was just happy to be Able to fix my motorcycle.. Didn't think my sales would make such a hubbub lol Crazy part is it was 3 different ppl when it was over $300.. insane

Gotta fund that Damascus Collection, I keep finding stuff I didn't even know existed ie. Wild Turkey Damascus Kershaw.. Now some make a Damascus blur please.
 
Chester I wish you'd just share where you keep coming up with the collectable Blurs?? I hunted for a few months to find some of the ones you've gotten and sold in about 3 weeks! :eek:

Hal that is a REALLY cool combination! I hope Kershaw watches this thread for ideas from some of the frankenBlurs! *hint hint Thomas* :D
