Show me your Blur!

do these people do this to knives? :mad: This serenityworkshop is constantly putting this kind of sh......oops.......crap on knives. Do people actually like and buy it? And do it to a limited run knife? They've got another one that they've added a spider to on the handle which isn't quite as bad but still......... In my opinion they've basically lowered the pool of spider green knives available by however many of these they've done up.

THATS AWESOME! Im Going to send them my Blue one and see if they can put a snowflake on it!
 
I like the decal on the pivot, because it can be fixed. It doesnt look bad, but sucks to mess up a limited run knife, but there are 770, I mean 769 of them still out there. One is now on its way to me. Not a messed up one though. Are these the same guys who waved the gray Blur?
 
Where the spider (now blob) used to be, I wonder if someone could etch a fly in the web there or something to compliment the spider? :D

Im going to sand the spiderweb when I get mine so its shiny metal. Then Ill get a sharpie and draw the fly on there. Going to be awesome
 
Bob sarcasm is not one of your fortes. :p But no these guys surprisingly aren't the same ones that did the wave.
 
Whos being sarcastic... your right, Id never f up a limited edition blur.

That wave thing pissed me off, I almost emailed them but it would be pointless, you cant fix stupid.

Because that is the old skool way of making a knife open easier (I think:confused:)

Mine doesn't look like this but I think this is an improvement.

found this pic on site that celebrates a certain day for knives.
I've included the description he gives for the process. It looks really clean nice in my opinion!

The Blur used be red until I placed it in a container of boiling water and an espresso machine cleaner called Puro. After 15 minutes all the anodization was gone.
 
This thread makes me want to buy a few blurs.... temptations ................. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
 
Just might have to try that Puro method. Pretty cool. And LazyKenshi be careful. The Blur is a temping maiden that will have you in her grips in no time. You'll look up from your stupor and realize you have 20 in no time haha!
 
Greased Lightning cleaner also works for stripping anodizing and color. That is what most people on the Caswell forums are using. I think I picked my bottle up at the local Dollar Tree. Has anyone acid etched the blade off an s30V stonewash? I think a nice dark gray blade would look great against the lighter gray stripped handles.

I know nail polish can be used to resist color when dying and anodizing, but will it dissolve in ferric chloride? I'd want to paint the thumbstuds, acid etch, and then use acetone polish remover to take the nail polish off the thumbstuds. I'm guessing FeCl would dissolve it as well as the acetone. Anyone know if that would work or something that would? [Nevermind. Darrel Ralph says in a post that nail polish will work. If you scratch designs in it the FeCl will leak under but should work fine for this use.]

That is why I am scared... Already bought a few ZTs and a few Kershaws in the past few weeks alone. Credit Card is hating me and so is my budget. Need to figure out how to pay my phone bill and pick up a blur now AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
