Show me your Blur!

Is there a model of Blur which doesn't have the trac inserts in the scales?

There are some with silver twill but they have been discontinued for awhile. The new model with carbon fiber inserts (1670CF154) should be out by the end of the year.

found this pic on site that celebrates a certain day for knives.
I've included the description he gives for the process. It looks really clean nice in my opinion!

The Blur used be red until I placed it in a container of boiling water and an espresso machine cleaner called Puro. After 15 minutes all the anodization was gone.

That looks pretty decent, It would look cool stone washed... wonder how the inserts would handle that

I would think they could handle it! See what I did there!

I didnt realize you did that. Nice.

I sw-ed the blade on my red blur, I think Ill try giving it a bath too and sw the handle too. I dropped it on the concrete and marked up the anodizing anyhow. I found that when I hold I knife gently I end up f-ing it up.

Are you in the rescue Blurs arent real Blurs camp?
I wish I had snagged a deer head when I had the chance but at the time
I was only a Blur lover not a total addict and thought I could live without
and am now kicking myself for it!

MTHall720,
The OvalmanPA post #586 shows 4 anodized Blurs with no inserts, beginning at 1 O'clock with the "orange" OCC blur. There may be more that I do not see.

I truly appreciate seeing all the Blurs on display.
Bernard Levine recently predicted to me that knife collecting will shift focus to tacticals. $30 to $350 and climbing.
BF allows me to see what I could never afford to buy. The Kershaw gangs are part of the fun on BF. Thank you.
My apologies in advance for butting in.
I like the anodized handles without inserts.

Silver Twill starting at 9:00 and the Snap On carbon fibers at 4:00. ;)

Naw just haven't picked the rescues up yet. They'll come eventually. :) I lucked into that DH from a local guy for $65. :D

Looking good there Rick! Kudos on the collection!

Thanks Jim! Was kind of neat to drag them all out of the box and see them lined up together.

You must have been carrying your black tanto when you took that pic

Me? Actually I don't have a black tanto yet other than a blem that is torn apart to play with. Keep just missing out on the bid for what I want to pay on one. Did just pick up a glass breaker on the cheap though compared to what most places want for them.

I can't wait for these. To me, the only blur truly worth getting my hands on. (Unless you count the original purple ones, but I don't have much hope for that one)

I really like the CF and love CPM-154, but I wish they had used any other color for the handle. It stands out so much more on the red and lime green Snap-On versions. Imagine how good it would look with silver!

I feel the same way about the blue ones. :(
