How many times will we do this to ourselves guys? I think we are on round 4 or 5 with this game! But I would like to see white with CF and a tanto SW Elmax blade! Or yellow... no yellow blur yet.

I just ordered a couple of the CF154 Blurs from Dave. I intend on drilling one of them for a lefty deep-carry clip. I imagine it should be fine since the CF isn't as grippy as the rubber Trac-Tec inserts, so it wouldn't need the tip of the clip to sit on the aluminum. I figure the holes would go through the CF area on the tip-down position, right above the pivot, as it seems that the CF is slightly higher than that.

Thoughts?

If the top of the clip sits on the cf you will want the bottom of the clip on the cf also, or the bottom of the clip wont be in contact with anything. Since most of the front of the blur is cf that wont be an issue probably. Are you going to have screws go into the aluminum too?

Yes, I'm going to try to tap all the way into the aluminum, shouldn't be too hard since both the CF and aluminum are soft enough to tap. I'll be using the deep carry clip from the Knockout/Echelon, since I used that on my Skyline, seems to work just fine. I remember placing the clip on a Blur I had, the end of the clip sat on the rubber insert, so it should sit fine on the CF inserts and function just fine.

Is anyone able to place the deep carry clip onto that position of the Blur so that I may see it before they get here? If not, no worries. I suppose they'll get here in a few days or so anyway.

They did! There is green and red. A certain someone has some available right now...

I agree Bob the white with CF would be the holy grail Blur for me. I decided I'm not a fan of the trac tec insert so all my blurs will be the ones without the track tec. Thanks to you I will have the silver twill, and thanks to Dave I'll have the other two carbon fiber models. Now I just need to get the red snap-on and the green and purple spider web. At least I think that's all..
 
Youre welcome, glad I could help keep the Blurs in the forum family. There is the OCC blur and the Silver Twill Anniversary Blur too.

Your right I meant occ not snap on. There is a anniversary edition on ebay for $200!

All you have to do is bend a little more tension into the clip. :)

Yea I know about those, already have them without XXXXs on the blade. ;) I'd have rather seen the CF with a stone washed 154 blade and a color "other than" black handle to make it stand out better. I mean look how good that SG10 looks in black. Can you imagine the CF in blue or even white handles like you guys suggest? :D But of course we've covered this thoroughly already. lol
 
can someone verify that the green/red cf blems dave has has black blades with snapon logo when you get them,thanks Jay
