Show me your Blur!

Yea, blade couldn't handle all of our awesome.

Yeah, it would just be too much. It would be like bringing sexy back times 3. :p

Many of you will not remember my first post about wanting to polish the handles of a Blur blem. Well, I finally got some buffing wheels for the old grinder Dad gave me a while back and decided to get as close as I'll come to a finished product. Misplaced a standoff and screw along the way somehow, but had to put it all back together just to see it. Been a while since I posted the first pics, but just using a Dremel was way too labor intensive.

Awesome job. Looks really good:thumbup:

Jim, I've got some extra Blur screws.

Thanks for the offer! The blade was coated too, and that did not come out so well in the stripping process haha. I'll try my hand at stonewashing the blade or swapping it out and get some parts and pieces from the donor knife.

How did you get the inserts out and back in without tearing them? Is there any secret trick?

I very slowly and methodically peeled the grips off the handle and thankfully the adhesive stayed with the grips. Even after sitting around for as long as they have, they went right back in, I sandwiched it with a nice heavy object sitting on it for a while before the clip went back on, and so far so good!

Kyle I soaked my scales in lacquer thinner overnight and it loosened the glue up to where they came right out. I have some rubber adhesive to use to put them back on, or whatever I put back in. :D When I finally get around to working on it anyway. Jim is inspiring me to get back at it again. lol
