Show me your Blur!

Well that still doe not explain such a high price. Even if only 2 where made does not explain the high price. Do you think the seller will see the 756 dollars?

Rarity is the number 1 thing that makes something crazy expensive (in the collecting world at least)
Gold is priced the way it is because it's more scarce. Copper is no where near gold prices because it's pretty readily available.
Second thing that drives prices up is the consumer and how much he wants it. High demand mixed with rarity = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
And if the seller backs out, the next bidder in line will take it.

Really? Even in your scenario where only 2 were ever made you don't see the reason? Yes, the money will be paid I'm sure. Rarity drives prices in every market, especially collectibles. Not everyone agrees with what someone else is willing to pay though. Can't explain that one to ya.

Really not talking about gold, silver or copper, just talking about a blur. I have said before that I am not a collector just a user so I'm just not seeing the lure. I can only imagine that one day the person that bought that knife will wake up one morning and say Holly crap I spent 756 dollars on a Blur. What was I thinking. YMMV
jimw451, I used 2 because Totaldbag mentioned something about 2. For all I know there could be 100,500, or maybe 1000 made. Who knows.

Supposedly 600 made, but no one knows for sure. Also, you do realize that there are other people who do NOT think exactly the same as you??

I paid more for my 0777's and now they are worth more. Is that crazy too??

It was an analogy Dan.
Gold =purple blur
Silver= blue/sg2/ANN/etc blur
Copper = plain Jane blur.

YMMV= Your mileage may vary. :)

I could totally throw up a supply and demand curve right now. The price seems outrageous to me as well, but only because I am not that interested in that knife. I have paid a lot for items I really wanted before because more people wanted them. That is the whole idea of an auction, demand drives up the price as much as possible.

I already did that.

believe it or not 750 bucks is nothing to some people

I could easily pay 750 many many time over. Just not for a Blur. I have Brown sprint composite 1670BRNZDP I paid 85 bucks for. Maybe I'll put it up on Ebay and see if I can get 700 dollars for it.

Did you not pay attention to my analogy? You've got silver, not gold.
