Show Me Your Ivory ;)

Campbell, your T.B. Swaybacks are very nice ! the color of the upper one is highly desirable.
is the ivory radiused at the edges where it meets spring and liners ? could you show a pic of handle spine and a pic looking down into liners ?
thanks; i have an ivory handled single blade folder on the way and asked the maker to radius the scales, but not sure if this is 'usually' done for ivory. i'm sure Mr. Bose does it right !

Very nice Campbell. Out of all the ivories, nothing compares to a premium piece of elephant.

Thank You Campbell. the scales are thicker than i thought (was a good sized piece of ivory to make those) and i really like the elegant rounding.
my ivory folder should be here within the week and if O.K. with maker, i will post here.

Lovely; very pleased, and oh, so smooth.
Merry Christmas folks, and esp. to B.B., the kind and humble knifemaker.

Rick,

I do not think I have seen a picture of your R Bose serpentine jack. Nice one!:thumbup:

Ken --Thanks. I have had the Reese Serpentine for a few years. Picked it up in a little deal with one of our members here on the Forum.

rproctor - here is a link to a number of pictures of the beauty that Ken made for me http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=698175 Not to criticize Kens picture taking :D, but the pics dont begin to do the knife justice.

All these knives are truly exceptional, but Blues i gotta say your K. Erickson Dogleg Jack is utterly perfect. i like them all, but that one really 'grabbed' me.
please, if it's ever for sale, i promise i'll care for it like a baby.

One by W T Fuller, one of the most underrated makers of all time. He shot the elephant that these scales came from. I saw the tusks in his shop. Circa around 1970

Roland, you have a very good eye. I've told Ken many a time that that dogleg is nigh on perfect in so many ways it would be hard to improve upon. I wish that the image captured the look and shade of the ivory better but so it goes. The modified wharncliffe secondary blade that I asked Ken to create adds great functionality to the pattern as well as good looks.

(The dogleg is about my favorite pattern for pure aesthetics.)

Thank you for the kind words but that knife won't be going anywhere while I'm still drawing breath. ;)
