Mmmm, stacked leather ! Best handle ever, IMO, from a practical point of view.

Both by a knife maker on BF's Knife Maker's Market. For the hell of me, I can't remember his handle / name. He is from Greece. No, the slow fuse has eventually lit, it's Todor Hristov from Bulgaria. Check him out, he does great work :

And if durability is a concern, this here under is probably a century old and I as the last owner didn't spare it any trials. My today knife me is ashamed of what I have done with this poor tool. But hey, it's still going strong. Stacked leather forever ! :

Thats not leather.....
Whoops! Sucks getting old. I'm now confusing Leather with (Birch ?) Nevertheless, it's still a stunning Knife! Hold the Phone! Ah! Perhaps I'm not loosing what's left of my Mind after all as it's been confirmed that "it IS" stacked Leather. Very nice!

I said a while back that I would post my Ka-Bar Mk 1 USN, so here it is. I stripped the enamel not too long after I bought it and I have liked it much more ever since. I also took the lacquer off the leather grip using a mild Scotch Brite pad and soap and water. This had the effect of making the leather rougher and therefore grippier. Finally, I removed the keeper strap from its position at the top of the sheath and reaffixed it towards the guard.

I do love this knife.

Rinaldi forest knife. These piqued my curiosity on the Baryonyx site, but never seemed to be available until I caught up with one a couple of weeks ago. Big knife, 8 1/2” of blade. The handle of unfinished leather discs has a subtle palm swell and an oval cross section. Seems like a lot of knife for the money.
