Show off your 15's

I just bought this from a forums friend on the exchange, my first Huckleberry Boy's Knife. I love single blade sheepfoots, and I could not resist the blue-green camel bone.

That's a great pic there  Has You Know Who seen it yet I wonder? ;)

Love the two I bought...just beautiful. One for me and the other for an Easter present for my son.

The picture, of course, is from the original dealer, a Bladeforums member. As for You Know Who, I don't know if it is quite blue enough. The dealer calls it "green." But the photos look blue to me.

Yeah, looks blue to me too. I guess we will find out in due course ;) Nice knife anyway Scott

Whatever color you call it, they're nice.

By the time I decided to get the Gabon Ebony Boy's Knife, everyone looked to be Out-of-stock. But, I found one. Glad I did. Now, I have a nice array of the single blade Sheepsfoot.

GEC, the manufacture, noted the color of the dye lots on their web page when posting about the knives. On the other hand, the color shifts and changes as the slabs are sanded down - depending on how the bone took the dye and how long the slabs were in the bath.

You might note the 'dealer' only refers to the knives as 'dyed camel bone' and lets you judge the color from the posted photos.

On the dealer's site, both of the theses are just listed as 'dyed'; however, GEC called the Madison blue and the #15 green. I don't know what I would call the #15... darkish blue-green. On the Crayola Crayon color wheel it looks fairly close to 'Tropical Rain Forest'.

Incredible! Sugarleaf, you should have your own table at the Oregon knife show. I think I could stare at those TCs for 2 or 3 hours. I can't tell if my favorites are the ebonys, the soup bones, or the palo santos. Beautiful!

Thanks Scott! I dunno about that, I'm small potatoes compared to some of the members here. But definitely happy to have a few of the ones I do. I would love to see what Charlie has at the knife show next week, but I think I'm skipping it. It's only a few hours from me, so maybe I'll decide last minute and make the journey after all...
