I admit i did not understand what all the fuss was about with these #15s, but i thought i would give it a go and as i rather liked the Antique Yellow Bone and there was one with a single Sheepfoot blade, no shield or blade etching and i rather like the end cap, i did the deed and just waited for it to arrive and after paying almost a third of the purchase price in import tax & handling "I finally got it", it is a great little EDC knife, but first things first #1 wash in warm soapy water, #2 dry carefully, #3 a drop of mineral oil on the pivot,#4 take a Dremel to the kick to lower the blade in the frame, #5 although it came sharp, a few passes on the Sharpmaker and strop, finally #6 some Ren Wax and you are good to go. I have been really impressed with it, from the unobtrusive way it sits in my watch pocket to the way it slices
paper and anything else i put it to, coincidentally a new Opinel #06 arrived on the same day and as we know they are great slicers , this little #15 was as good as the Opinel but far more satisfying to use. So it is fair to say my new Huckleberry Friend will not be leaving my pocket any time soon.

If you do that it might cause a little confusion between you and Jack BlackYeah, I don't know what I was thinking when I registered. Didn't give it much thought really...LOL. I guess I just never bothered changing it because whatever I change it to, would be just as random anyway... Maybe I'll change my name to Tenacious D... Haha!
Really like what you changed your name to though Will, was it perhaps, to remind yourself to remember some restraint when tempted to spend all your cash on knives?![]()
Thanks Will! Hey, I noticed you changed your forum name. I've wanted to do the same for a while now too, but just haven't got around to it![]()
Hey - you guys gave me an idea - change my nickname to what - that is the question?![]()
Wow, sugarleaf, that's what I call taking the title of this thread literally!:thumbup:
Fantastic bunch of 15s; thanks for showing them off!
I agree with Will; that Scout is the one that especially has powerful classic appeal to me.

sugarleaf - be sure and give us notification of the name change when you do so - or - maybe I can just recognize the knives.
