Show off your 15's

Yes! Well you pay your fee and as if by magic...changed!

Regards, Will

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking when I registered. Didn't give it much thought really...LOL. I guess I just never bothered changing it because whatever I change it to, would be just as random anyway... Maybe I'll change my name to Tenacious D... Haha!

Really like what you changed your name to though Will, was it perhaps, to remind yourself to remember some restraint when tempted to spend all your cash on knives? :D

Wow, sugarleaf, that's what I call taking the title of this thread literally!:D:thumbup:
Fantastic bunch of 15s; thanks for showing them off!
I agree with Will; that Scout is the one that especially has powerful classic appeal to me.:cool:

I admit i did not understand what all the fuss was about with these #15s, but i thought i would give it a go and as i rather liked the Antique Yellow Bone and there was one with a single Sheepfoot blade, no shield or blade etching and i rather like the end cap, i did the deed and just waited for it to arrive and after paying almost a third of the purchase price in import tax & handling "I finally got it", it is a great little EDC knife, but first things first #1 wash in warm soapy water, #2 dry carefully, #3 a drop of mineral oil on the pivot,#4 take a Dremel to the kick to lower the blade in the frame, #5 although it came sharp, a few passes on the Sharpmaker and strop, finally #6 some Ren Wax and you are good to go. I have been really impressed with it, from the unobtrusive way it sits in my watch pocket to the way it slices
paper and anything else i put it to, coincidentally a new Opinel #06 arrived on the same day and as we know they are great slicers , this little #15 was as good as the Opinel but far more satisfying to use. So it is fair to say my new Huckleberry Friend will not be leaving my pocket any time soon.

If you do that it might cause a little confusion between you and Jack Black:D.
Quite the beautiful collection you have there. I am very tempted to pick up my first 15, an ebony sheep/pen, but I just can't justify another purchase right now.
Plus I haven't even wore the new off this Northwoods I just got.

Thanks Will! Hey, I noticed you changed your forum name. I've wanted to do the same for a while now too, but just haven't got around to it :D

:eek::eek::eek: That was sneaky Will. I sure am glad I read I read these pages or I may have thought my old friend had gone AWOL !!! :D:D

sugarleaf - be sure and give us notification of the name change when you do so - or - maybe I can just recognize the knives. ;):D:D:D

Hey - you guys gave me an idea - change my nickname to what - that is the question?:confused::confused::D

Maybe I can go incognito. ;);)

That is a fine lineup of 15's sugarleaf - hey - I think I see one of those I need.:eek::eek:;):D:D:D:D:D

Thanks GT! That's just the ebony's  One of these days I'll try to get all the 15's in a shot... It's a sickness I tell ya... I need more cowbell!!

Wow Al. That's an eclectic group of #15's in Ebony. Beautiful group.

Thanks Bob, glad to hear you are home and feeling better. Knife therapy is the best therapy! Hang in there bud and stay positive!!

You have plenty that I need Primble, my birthday is coming up, and it's awfully nice of you to offer to send me a TC of my choosing :D

The wheels are in motion. I will soon be JB's alter ego...Muahahaha! :devilish::cool:

Nice day here in the Boston area (although quite windy). Up to 62 degrees, so I'm sitting out on the deck for a bit. A little sunshine and fresh air does wonders too. Thanks Al.
Speaking of #15's, I have my Scout here with me.

I don't think either of you could go incognito. I'd recognize your Barlows anywhere!

Pardon the question, but is there a thread on the back story of the 15 scout knife? I've tried the search button but keep coming up with scout /camp knives.

Or am I just over thinking this and it's just a random shield on a run of 15s? Haha.

Thanks

Jim
