Show off your 15's

Wow that’s a pretty low number !
I’m really happy I was able to get one
The covers really are nice .
That is a rare one!
The covers look like they have the same coating that you hated on the 43 !? The one that looked sprayed on? Or is this one different?

:p

LoL Yes it’s a rare One and couldn’t tell you as far as the covers . Except it looks totally different in hand and what ever the application was it’s done very tastefully ;) to contrary of the one 43 I had .
But you are right about it being a rare one :D
Did you happen to be one of the fortunate that Recieved one ?
Or just one of the envious :):p

Haha, yeah.
No, I wasn't one of The fortunate. The way I understand it, it was a show exclusive!!?
Glad your 'persistence' paid off!

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Looks nice and dark deep black and red in the shadows and really great in the sun with some cool coloring.

I'm thinking my originally Ivory Bone TC needs a dye touch up. I could go black and get it nice and dark, but I was thinking red. Might give it a nice undertone. Thoughts?

I might also dye my Smooth White Bone #78.

Also, were there any red sawcut bone #14 TCs made? I can't find the production totals/info on GEC's site anymore.

Edit: I saw only only 6
I was there bugging Charlie for a hour before the 9:30 release time :D
So There was only 6 With charlie before the start time.
But there should be few more out there then that so I’m just Speculating.

Glad you were able to land one, my friend. He had 2 left when I got to him, which was around 11(ish) on Saturday. I was rather surprised to see them still there, to be honest.

Mr. C told me 25 show special TCs were made. Love the covers.

He told me the same. I had the pleasure of getting to fondle one and it confirmed my thoughts regarding the soup bone covers. I love them! Though I certainly prefer the color of the red ones that were released some years ago.

Unfortunately, I couldn't justify the expense as I am buying a house and have a number of other knives heading my way at some point. Plus, I really do prefer the 2-blade 15s, especially for use. One of these days I will find a 2-blade TC, it will be nice to see how they measure up to the 2-blade 15 regular jacks.

Too bad you didn’t pick one up, you could have traded for one (two or even three) of the knives you are looking for in your signature line. :D

TheFactor TheFactor did you notice on the tube of your special TC Barlow Tom Sawyer is wearing red high top shoes???

That’s an awesome tube and special knife!

I’m glad I could point that out for you.

I really enjoy advertising art and used to collect old signs so I guess I pick up on small details.

That show looked really great from the pics I saw in another thread.

Yes you do and I probably would of never noticed lol .
The show was really nice and can’t wait to go back next year already .
I highly recommend it !

You are likely quite correct. However, I would much rather folks who were interested in the knife have the opportunity to purchase it versus myself acquiring one simply for trade fodder or investment purposes. Just kind of cheapens the nature of it being a rather special knife, in my opinion.

The excitement exhibited by TheFactor TheFactor , for instance, at the prospect of acquiring one of these knives is far more important to me than if I were to pick one up with the intention of cashing it in for other knives that I happen to be looking for.

A long winded response to what I suspect you meant in good fun, just me being a little introspective, I guess.

Ooooh, oooh! I can finally post one here now!

Of course, this same one has probably been posted a few times by at least another member or 3 (no idea of its full lineage of ownership), but now it's mine. Certainly won't be my last either. Definitely want a barehead in ebony (spear, clip, long pull, crescent, I'm not too choosy) at some point, and if the fates shin on me, an elk stainless.
