I have this set on the way- should be here tomorrow, but I doubt I can beat this pic:

I hope Mike @ collectorknives.net doesn't mind me using his image! (that's where I got them) The bone on the Pioneer is out of control.

Great thread idea, by the way! I predict a win from a knife made by a man whose last name rhymes with "Rose".

I just got the Tony Bose set today and was way impressed with the bone on the Sowbelly.

The green bone on this Chamblin wharncliff trapper blends in so well in the woods, the game can't tell I am armed. This is my entry.

Thanks, Joe

That's mighty generous of you Pappy! It's a tough decision but here are two of my favorites- A Schrade Cut Co jack, not only the jigging but the color is exquisite, and a Keen Kutter (AKA Walden Knife Co) quill knife with the classic Walden jigging:

This is a pic of a Bose I believe, not sure who I lifted it from exactly but I'm pretty sure it was from a BF poster, "knifehead"? Anyway, that is some sweet jigged bone!!!
Thanks for the contest btw, especially b/c I love jigged bone handles & this way I'll get to see some great pics!

I hope texasflyfisher doesn't mind my stealing his image from the Traditional knife carry thread. :)

I like this shallow jig, kinda blended. I do like slightly more blend of the depressions than this, but not quite as smooth as Case has the modern "faked" pocket worn. Kinda like Peachseed, but not exactly. I love ambers and reds, and especially with fade to white/cream at the bolster. So, to pick one knife with both favorite color and favorite jig, this one is as close to perfect as i have ever seen yet; has it all.

I could give lots of example of perfect jig in the wrong color, or visa versa, but this has it all together.

This knife is over 100 years old and is still carried when I am in a nostalgic mood :):

Edited to add:
Pappy since I have a few of your knives, please do not enter my name in hopes that it will go to someone who has not gotten one.

Neat to see some really neat knives posted here.

I think this is one that I thought the color and jigging turned out really well.

Ken,
No thinking about that one. It came out beautifully!

This isn't an official entry, I just wanted to add another pic to this great thread. I am loving this Tidioute Scout!

Edit: It sure looks like I'll never get the hang of this picture posting thing. Yes, I see the red X, and yes, I deserve it.

Here's my favorite ... a Schatt & Morgan Trapper I bought last year.

Thanks for the chance.
