Show off your Fiddlebacks and Leather

Some updated shots; all work courtesy of the leather bending mad scientist Rick Lowe. Of note, I asked Rick to try and match the dye pattern on the camp piggyback rig to match the knives shadetree burlap scales... he made it happen!

How cool is that!

Great to see you got a Camp knife Duder:thumbup: Sweet set up and the knives should compliment each other nicely in use :D

Some RLO work. Some Heber work to come soon.

Is this a cross draw? I just got a ness and she needs some pants, can't let her get a breeze up under that skirt of hers. What do you guys recommend for a nessmuk? Dangler, belt, clip on, cross draw? Just lookin for thoughts. I have a dangler sheath for my sneaky and my Pete loves it. What do you guys think?

Hey Viral:

I was also tempted by this particular RLO sheath but couldn't tell if it was a belt loop or clip on style. I'm sure Rick could configure it either way for you. Either way he does nice work & is great ti work with. In the end I decided to go with one of Bonafide's sheaths in a black basket weave. Aside from the quality work Bud does, this style of sheath offers you the option to carry your knife in either a vertical or horizontal position on the belt. View attachment 436435 This is the photo that caught my eye. I believe it's one of Mistwalker's Nessie. Bud's tooling is amazing with good quality leather.

Mine is set up with a belt loop. I'm sure Rick or any of the leather smiths around here can hook you up with whatever you want. As Peter mentioned, bonafide has a set up that allows you to carry vertical or horizontal, and his work is great. Check out post #161 for that set up. And check out Will's Sneaky Pete sheath in post #172. Rick set that up for horizontal carry and a added a removable dangler for vertical carry. Awesomeness! I have (had) sheaths from all of the leather smiths around here and all of them are great.

Not much going on today so I decided to put together a glamour shot of a recent Bushfinger acquisition in Ivory Linen Micarta over Natural w/ Black pinstripe along with it's wardrobe compliments of Jared Oeser. Ken commented that this one was worthy of a trip to Blade Show. The contrast is amazing.....What do you guys think ?

Awesome combo peter -- I've always been a huge fan of white linen, and the J Oeser sheath is just the icing on the cake; Nice setup!!

Thanks Will.....you have to be patient with Jared since he is a very busy guy, however, it was worth the wait IMO.

Very nice! Love the scales and sheath. The thing that caught my eye first about the use of light scales was the contrast against dark pins, liners and bullseye. Now that I'm used to micarta pins, I don't much care for brass or stainless. I still like ti tubes, but Andy's knives just look right to me overall.

Finally had time to take some pictures of some recent leather acquisitions. All of these are fantastic work. Will be adding some pics to the Collections thread as well.

From left to right: Heber (EDCII); Heber (Asp); Jou'Fuu (Camp); Jou'Fuu (Arete); RLO (Nessmuk).

Great looking leather. I really like Hebers work, and it's cool to watch jou foos work get cleaner and crisper all the the time. He's really starting to come into his own.
