I've been wondering how many of these great slips are hand sewn and how many machine? The neatness of most of the stitching had about convinced me that there was a large number of you , ahem, gentleman who had unspoken skills with the machines. Maybe some would think that "unmanly", but in my family we all were taught to at least be able to darn socks (who does that anymore), if not do some cross stitch work. I think I will have to acquire my dear mothers (her 86th was Saturday) now unused leather tools and get to work.
