Jeff and Mike have more integrity in the tips of their little pinky fingers than most people have in their entire beings. They are my friends, and they are truly real people in a world with so few. They both can be counted on as friends, as business associates, and any other way people of such integrity can be counted on. My heart is sick at what two upstanding guys are suffering at the hands of a corporate monster. This is the thanks they get from Ontario for being the good guys? Bullsh*t!

What I guarantee you guys will see throughout this is that no matter what lowdown and dirty tactics are used against RAT, Mike and Jeff will never sacrifice their integrity and values in the face of adversity. That's the mark of true men, and true human beings.

Sent an email to Ontario stating that IF they go forward with the lawsuit, I will no longer buy from their product line and will make sure everyone that I know that owns so much as a steak knife hears about this.

I know Mike and Jeff said they don't want to see an American company boycotted, but I see it as supporting the small American company over the bully. I mean, isn't owning your own small business part of the American Dream?

Those guys and I have been through a lot together. When a friend of Jeff's was kidnapped in Colombia, Jeff contacted me and we put our heads and connections together to assemble a fast-moving kidnap & ransom team. We were fortunate to have the contacts necessary to put it together and get the job done, with immediate intel contacts looking around down there, then boots on the ground within 24 hours, and a medevac lear jet set-up and on standby. Jeff also constantly comforted, coordinated and communicated with the family, and when the person got released, our people escorted him and his companions back to safety.

I haven't spoken of this publicly, really, but now I am, just to let everyone know that Jeff is the kind of man who will make any sacrifice necessary for his friends' sake. Don't know if Jeff will be comfortable with my talking about this (I'm pretty skittish about saying things anyway), but I feel the public needs to know who these guys are and what they are made of. Jeff performed OUTSTANDINGLY under stress -- better than most people do in daily life.

I would count on, and I have counted on, Jeff -- and Mike -- to have my six anytime in any SHTF situation.

If this plot thickens, please give RAT your support.

There are many good working Americans at Ontario, and they cannot be faulted or punished for the transgressions of their management - but if forced to choose, I choose RAT. I also changed the little title under ny name to "RAT Cutlery's Friend!" Everyone who want to show support please do same!
 
This is complete BS. I bought a RAT Model 1 folder when it cost me $80 and there wasn't this issue. Once this get's straightened out (as to what is legitimate and what is not) I'm buying a RAT...or two..or three, God knows.
 
Ontario's management, as someone said in the other thread, needs to spend their money on learning about knives, about quality control, and all those aspects that make a good company. The only reason - IMHO - that they are still in business is precisely because of Jeff and Mike's designs, and now they bite the hand that fed them. It's a testament to RAT's designs and RAT's dedication, strangely enough: if the RAT knives sold by Ontario weren't so critical to their business, they wouldn't bother with this.

well that sucks, as far as ontario knife goes they won't get any more of this fatboys money. shame for a company to behave so badly.
 
I think Mike and Jeff are now in the 'driver's seat; follow me if you will. My understanding from what I've read is that Ontario wants them to be their designers, and cease to operate a small knife business on the side. If M & J work out a contract for more coin than they would make in their side work, it might satisfy everyone, buyers included. If they mean this much to Ontario then Ontario should pony up enough coin to show respect to M & J's design abilities to fine tune the designs to increase the demand for their products. It's as if the tennis pupil has beaten their instructor at the high fallutin country club, and now wants to rescind the lessons taught?!
 
Total Bulls@@t!!!!! Ontario just lost my business...not that they where really going to get much of it since RatCutlery has started putting out blades.I still love their machetes..and since I dont deal with Cold Steel either I guess Ill have to find another manufacturer.Jeff and Mike will survive,but will Ontario?
 
Sorry to hear the bad news, this upsets me:mad: I just sent Ontario an E-mail to express myself & to let them know they just lost another customer:grumpy:
 
It is sad that Ontario's leadership has to pull this kind of crap to get ahead. Very bad karma!! RAT has my backing all the way. May the good guys win in this instance. Good Luck Jeff and Mike!:thumbup:
