Show RAT Cutlery your support! Post Here!

I think I will show my support by buying a RC-4 when the next batch is made.:D
May as well shoot off an e-mail, as well.
Brian, you were bang on when you said they should worry more about quality control then something like this.
Can two companies be any different, in where their true interest lies?

I see ontario still has Randall's Adventure & Training knives on there web site

Miro44,

No worries, nobody is asking you to do anything you don't want to do. Just knowing they have your support is enough, I'm sure!

Yes, Thank you, I just wanted to say, that it will neither help support RAT cutlery, nor will it damage Ontario.

But I will DEFINATLEY buy a RC-4 as soon as i have enough money:thumbup:

Things are tough in Tutusville, PA, folks. Most of the good jobs have gone, and most any kid with any gumption has to leave home to find work. The town is getting to be the lame, the old, and the addicted. Sad. Losing the American jobs at Queen would be a bad thing.

To support Randall's, buy a REAL RAT!

I sent Ontario an email explaining to them how many customers they are losing with this unfair law suit, including me.

They are trying to destroy RAT cutlery, but the irony is I think they're going to end up destroying themselves.

TexasTony I say Mike & Jeff should sell their Rat cutlery patches for $2 a pop to let everyone start wearing them. When someone asks about the patch you recite the ongoing battle with Ontario!

Also, I think we all need to chill here with the negativity towards Ontario. here's why, if Ontarios' lawyer start using weblogs statements of how the negative publicity of the case is hurting their business Ontario can seek damages further. I'm no lawyer just slept in my Clark Jungle hammock last night!

I wonder if Ontario will come on here and tell their side of this? It's nice to have all of the facts before landing on anyone with both feet. I have tried to support both companies,

I sent them an email. Ontario is just being silly. The logo on Ontario's knives says "Randall's Adventure Training". I think that makes it pretty obvious who the logo belongs to.

I agree with this and RAT cutlery essentially asked us to do this several posts back. I sincerely support Jeff and Mike, but venting our frustrations at Ontario on-line is not really going to help.

As mentioned, the negative messages (and they will surely be pulled selectively and out of context) as well as private e-mail submissions will be used to build a case of harm, or perhaps even slander. Second, even though bladeforums has a tremendous membership and importance in this industry, negative press on this forum has done little to change the attitudes of owners (think Cold Steel and Strider) [I'm talking big producers here - not the little guys with heart]. These CEO's probably follow wallstreet more closely than BF and all CEO's are hired to meet their bottom lines not anything else.

I hope our RAT weathers it through this in as smooth a way as possible and can come to some gentlemanly arrangment. If they do give us some instructions as to their wishes then I will be willing to act and help them out.

But it would be legally irresponsible for the owners of RAT to come out and explicitly ask us to boycott Ontario, now wouldn't it?

I hope this negativity towards Ontario continues until they get driven straight out of business. Seriously, why the hell should I NOT talk s**t about a company who didn't produce a decent new knife design in 40 years, finally GOT a good design, and then just craps all over the designers instead of using the new business to attract talented new ones. Sorry guys, but this is an "American company" that's been in business long enough.

But seriously, Jeff and Mike, you guys really need to start cranking out D2 RCs. A D2 RC-6 looks like it would be shizzle.

If it is any help, I just ordered an RC-4 today. Then again, I've been wanting this knife for a long while now so it was a symbiotic gesture not an altruistic one :)

I hope the RC-6's can still find their way to market in April!

I think I will show my support by making RAT Cutlery my sole source of fixed blades. (other then my various customs! :D)

Ontario knives will crash and burn. Just wait and see. Their reputation will sink.

Well sadly good intentions and justice don't always prevail in this world. Usually it is $$$$ that wins.

Although it is a good idea to let Ontario know that their actions displease us I find it highly unlikely that this would put them out of business. If it even made a dent I'd be surprised. The knife community is small compared to the herds of sheeple that buy their products.

The reality is that we are a minority just like RAT Cutlery. Maybe they will give up, Maybe not. But things like slander and libel have a way of ruining your case.
