Just for fun I'm curious to see which knives everyone here finds ugly. The more repulsive the better. I was looking through the inventory of one of my favorite sites and I came across a few I can't imagine ever buying except if there was no other option to do the same job. This is based on pure ascetics and in no way reflects my view of the companies, effectiveness of the design, or ability to preform. So lets see um. I'll start with these two. The Dalton it's mostly the handle and it has a sort of cheap knockoff look to it.

That Strider looks indeed like something the Predator creature would use.
I would feel embarrassed if seen carrying it.
 
While I have one, I cannot say that it's an acquired taste as I still think it's fugly:

Spyderco Civilian. I understand the design concept, but DANG, that thing is uuuuugly. I kind of like it, though. Go figure.

Dark ops knives look very functional... lol
I envy the mall ninjas that carry a knife soooo sweeet
 
Strider and Extrema Ratio are both repulsive to me. They may be good knives, but I won't be buying one.

The Boker Subcom is another one I think is horrible.

I think it's a wire stripper. How effective it is, I couldn't say. I use an old Camillus electrician's knife for that stuff, and use the money I save (from not buying a SOG) for lunch & beer. :D

I'm sorry, but I just think the military is ugly. I can't help it! The aesthetics don't appeal to me. That being said, hearing so many great things about the knife, I will buy it sometime soon and give it a shot to see if it grows on me. I know that often a knife you think ugly in a picture, actually turns out to be a lot better in person. Besides, I felt the same way about the Delica before I bought it, though I wasn't turned off as strongly. Now, it is one of my favorite folders, and I LOVE its appearance. Weird. :o:D
