SHOW us what you do for a living (or retiring)

Gee! Seeing some really neat stuff here and a lot of awesomely talented folks. This is just great. And boy! those rollers take me back, worked at a cold rolling plant about 30 years ago, just before I joined the Navy. Keep up the excellent work! And keep your spirits up, one never knows what lies around the next bend.

It's funny how years can go by but some trades never change what you'll see at the end of the production, well besides the tooling used to get the product...that said I've been thinking of getting out, I'm applying at a US knife producer which uses CNC but would like to get into the finishing side of things in time and eventually custom make slipjoint folders. :)

Most of you folks are much more interesting that I am at the moment.

Right out of college I worked for a few years as a newspaper photographer. Here's a picture I took of Jesse Jackson when he was campaigning for the 1988 Democratic primary:

Here a couple of different folks you might recognize also campaigning in the Democratic primary, just four years later:

After that I spent 12 years as a middle school science teacher. This is a picture of me from a professional development workshop that appeared in a local newspaper:

Now I work for state government (still in education) but there's not much I do that would make a very good photo.

Necromancy, do your worst. Let's knock some of the dust off!

Lot of new members here, should be some interesting ones. Don't be shy!

I have worked in a couple of jobs. 3 years in the Navy, in a car shop, store clerk, phone marketing (worst job I ever had), bouncer at a nightclub, airport security, cargo transport at the same airport.

And in 4 months I`ll be out sailing again as a third assistant engineer.

No pics sorry.

I design and build these.

I used to be supervising bouncer at a heap of LARGE clubs, and actually found it quite fun until I got my face kicked in (after he attempted to smash a bottle over my head). :p

I'm a roofer. Here's a house I was working on about a month and a half ago. Tore off the original shake roof, put down sheets of OSB, covered it with roofing felt and put a composition shingle roof back on. I took this picture while I was waiting for our supplier to show up with the shingles.
